(+) Clear easy instuctions, Looks very smart, Light and easy to transport, very durable (-) Screen could be slightly bigger, battery doesn't last very long
Advantages: Really good calue for money Disadvantages: Te keyboards too small and not set out too well
...I got this as a Christmas present last year as i needed a laptop to do school work surf the internet and just th usual sorts of things. This laptop is great for that and more.
It comes with a 1.8 ghz AMD sempron processor which is pretty good for the £500 this laptop costs. It has 1 gb of ram and an 80 Gb hard disk which is big enough for the average home user. It has a 15.4" TFT monitor. It can play about 2 hours of DVD playback at full charge and it can do just under 3 hours while doing normal work on it. It's very good value for money but it does have bad things going for it aswell.
The keyboard was the main let down for me as it has been crushed into a small space and i pretty hard to get used to it. They have tried to cram a whole numerical keypad onto the side of the keyboard which is only useful if you are doing alot...

Advantages: Looks good, comes with a good deal from BT [broadband option 3]. Disadvantages: Poor wireless signal, not compatible with printers.
...The BT Home-Hub v2.0 may look chic and stylish in comparison to previous models, but personally I have not noticed any beneficial differences between the v2.0 and the v1.0. Despite numerous claims that the wireless signal is 'twice as strong as other wireless providers', I have no reason whatsoever to endorse this. In my medium sized flat, I only receive good, stable signal in the rooms adjacent to the Hub, and in other rooms the signal repeatedly disappears completely.
One of the Hub's main selling points is the many various connections which it boasts, including 4 ethernet connections and a USB socket. All previous versions of the home-hub have had the capability to connect a printer to the hub and therefore print documents wirelessly from anywhere in your home or garden. Unfortunately this is not possible with the v2.0.
The hub...

Advantages: Easy to use, Stylish, Reliable Disadvantages: None
...I have had this Hub for about 2 months now. It's amazingly fast and reliable. Downloading has been a pleasure. 2 years ago i had subscribed with a network so that i would have a peace of mind while i am downloading, all the Hub did was disconnect me from the network. To get on i always had to put in the LONG password that i got with it, and then resume my downloads. I had enough of it, i canceled the subscription and chose to try this BT Home v2.0. it's been smooth sailing ever since. My friends and extended family use the same Hub and they could not me any happier. The Stylish design is amazing, so nice that friends complimented on it. The Phone is very smart and has all the features such as, Caller ID, Contact Storage, Speaker Phone, Easy to use buttons. Really simple to use. If you happen to get it, it's the best decision you will...
