a slightly older Power Supply.
The only weak points I could find with this board were in it's bios options. Because it is the budget MSI product in this range, it does not offer any voltage increase for the CPU Core, and does not offer high end FSB Settings. If you intend to run your Core2Duo processors overclocked (as they have great potential!) you may want to get the Platinum option as this contains those features. However it is a lot more expensive, and I did manage to get a 35% overclock on my E6300 even without voltage increases!!
The installation of this board is simple, ample instruction is included in the user manual for all plugs and jumpers. The board is regular ATX in size, and will require an ATX compatible case (No Micros). Installation of the board is as simple as attaching the included backplate, screwing in the 6 mounts ...
Advantages: Supports Quad Core, All Solid Capacitor Design, Good Overclocker Disadvantages: Has issues with certain RAM
gained my attention of the GA-965P-DS3 is that it uses the All Solid Capacitor Design which is common seen on Graphics Cards, The up side to this is that the GA-965P-DS3 will have a longer life than other motherboards of its level and there is less risk of Capacitor leakage like some cheaper motherboards can get.
Now, on to one downside, the 965P-DS3 seems to have problems with certain types of RAM, although I have never experienced any problems myself, it seems that when you first start the 965P-DS3 up, you will need RAM that can run at 1.8v, after that, you can then use whatever voltage RAM you want.
Conclusion:
This board is excellent for people on a budget and is practically future proof, especially with the All Solid Capacitor Design, if you want to build a system that is stable and good for gaming, I would recommend this ...
Advantages: Good layout, Excellent overclocker, Good feature set. Disadvantages: On-board Wi-Fi and Sound are poor. Expensive

You know that when you move house something is going to go wrong, On this occasion everything looked great until I went to switch the hub of my life on, POP! There went the power supply, motherboard and processor! Oh Joy!
Anyway my planned PC project was moved forward a few months.
I spent all of Christmas and some part of the New Year researching the components and selecting the best mix. For this new PC I decided to go with an Intel E6400 Core2-Duo processor as it lets you overclock it to a higher level. To go with this I obviously needed a compatible motherboard that was stable during normal operation and also allowed for a good degree of overclocking.
After much reading on the pros and cons of various Asus, Gigabyte and MSI boards I decided on the Asus P5B Deluxe. As I ...
