I am a woman of colour and in the past have found it difficult to find foundation that not only matched my uneven skin-tone but also worked to minimise my oily skin. I found it in MAC SELECT SPF 15 FOUNDATION.

MAC boast that this product is a water-based liquid foundation, non oily, giving medium coverage, plus an SPF 15, and it's an unbelievable YES to all 4.

What they do not tell you is just how good the coverage REALLY is. If you, like me, have an uneven skin tone then this is just for you, with 21 shades to choose from there will definately be a shade for you. It can be built up as much as you like, without looking unnatural, or wear it lightly for smooth, clear, baby soft looking skin. The finish is amazing, and looks so natural, you won't believe it yourself.

To go with this product you will need to buy the MAC Blot Powder , this helps to set the foundation and also minimises shine - the two are like bread and butter, a winning combination.

It says that it lasts long; I find around lunchtime that I have to use the blot powder to reduce my shiny appearance, as this contains no colour, it's more about matting my skin, as opposed to needed more colour coverage.

There is no applicator so you can either use a brush (as they do in the shop) a bit tricky for an amateur and can give quite heavy coverage - or just do as I do and use your fingers, you have more control that way. Make sure they are clean, mind.

All in all, full marks to MAC I no longer have to pay over the odd prices for make-up for darker skin tones.
