Mackays, or M&Co as it has re-branded itself has more than 300 stores across the UK and a really decent website.
This is a clothes shop which offers good quality fashionable items for a reasonable price.
The store includes sections for: Ladies fashion Mens fashion Teenage clothes (AKA Kylie) Baby clothes Underwear/nightwear Accessories
The adult wear is mainly geared towards the middle aged market and the men's section is quite small compared to the overall shop. The clothes do mirror what is fashionable at the time and there are always a wide variety.
M&Co try to cater for a variety of customer with their petite range and their plus size section for women with a fuller figure.
The teenage section has a lot of selection too with there being a section for teenage accesories as well separate to that for the adults.
The baby wear department is good quality and good prices with t-shirts just costing from £2.95 which is a complete bargain compared t other high street shops. They also offer sun hats and blankets too.
Clothes are reasonably price with attractive, smart-casual tops costing about £18-£22 and basic t-shirts costing £5-8.
M&Co often offer special discount days where the whole store has 10% off or 20% off depending on the offer. At CHristmas time all customers who make a purchase also get a scratch card which will reveal a prize which is always a percentage of their next shop so always a good incentive.
The lay out of the shop is very good, it has lots of space for you to browse through the rails without feeling hemmed in like in many shops. It is always very clean and bright and staff are more then willing to help.
The website is very useful and easy to navigate and also offers a 'home' selection with duvets and other soft furnishings available.
I do reccommend this store especially for baby clothing as it is very reasonable and they have a lovely selection.
