Okay so I'm terrible for shopping, i go in one shop and I find it really hard to leave without buying something and then later I wonder how I managed to spend so much money! So, for that reason, I really like the shops Mackays or M&co as it's now known as I can buy lots of things and not spend as much as I would in other shops!
M&co used to be known as Mackays but it's gone under a new image lately and is now known as M&Co. They are not in every high street, they are often in the smaller towns/suburbs and so are not the most well known stores.
My local store has a teenage section, adults section including men, women, maternity, petite, tall and a baby and child section. They have such a wide range of items with accessories, shoes, bags etc.
What is great about this store is that it doesn't seem all that large, not compared to the likes of BHS and M&S but I can always be sure to find something that I can wear or my baby can wear and there is such great variety.
The baby section alone is fantastic, they have lovely little outfits as well as basics like vests and sleep suits all for reasonable prices. The fashion changes frequently which is refreshing, I'm bored of going into mothercare to see the same vests over and over again. Prices of children's clothes are ideal with tshirts costing £2 which is just what you need with growing children!
The majority of the store is women's fashion, the men's side is quite limited so I guess this would be something that they could improve on, however, they still have a good variety of shirts, t-shirts, trousers, jeans etc for men.
The womens fashion varies from casual to party dresses and dinner dresses. I honestly don't know how they manage to fit so many variations in their store yet ensure that it doesn't look cluttered and messy.
Every time I go in the shop it is very clean and well organised. I hate going into shops and seeing unfolded clothes strewen around the stands but the staff in this store definitely keep on top of them and make sure they keep the displays tidy.
The window displays are always really good too, just walking past I can't help but look in and then have to go in and have a closer look at what's on display and, usually,end up coming away with a purchase!
The staff are always very polite and friendly, every time I have asked for some help they haev been more than helpful and this is definitely something which makes me keep returning to this store!
Every so often there are special promotions. As well as end of season sales which are always brilliant as clothes can be better than half price- i bought a dress for just £8! They also have event evenings where they have 20% off in the evening and you can go along, havea glass of wine and browse the store! What more could you want?!
M&Co also has a website now so if you can't find what you want in store you can shop online and usually there are promotions online too which is great! Online there is also a 'home' section swhich sells allsorts of things for in the home too so they're really competing with BHS and M&S now but at such a more affordable price.
I guess the downside to this store is that it still lives off it's old image wihch was geared towards older people, i hope the new image catches on soon and that the store will be found in more areas.
