Use: ***** As with normal toothpaste, just regular twice a day brushing with a small amount on the toothbrush. The packaging does actually advise on continuously using this for at least 28 days before any effects take place.
This also has quite a nice fresh minty flavour to it, and doesn't seem to foam very much, though it doesn't really affect the brushing experience in a negative way.
Results: ********* At first, I was a little sceptical, because I had tried so many others that didn't seem to work, I had almost played with the idea that perhaps I should consider a professional whitening process with the dentist. However, after about a month of using this, I did notice my teeth showing a better whiteness. It is lucky that I had managed to stay with this - seeing that it would be a waste after using it a few times.
I have substituted this for my normal toothpaste by using it everyday and twice a day - and it has definitely paid off. Although having confirmed that it works, its effects are very gradual and mild - certainly it does not turn your teeth into the unrealistic whiteness that you get in the adverts, rather, it just helps to restore the natural whiteness of your teeth.
I personally don't drink coffee, tea, alcohol, or eat strong foods, so it is probably easier for my teeth to regain the natural whiteness. Having said this, I also have a few teeth that are naturally pitted, so these are quite severely stained regardless of what I eat. Psychologically, I feel the toothpaste to have helped make a difference, nevertheless, pitted teeth always require a good polish at the hygienists, so I don't think this toothpaste is any help here.
Cost: ***** This costs around £2.49 for a 100ml tube of paste - strangely, at Wilkinson's they only charge £1.05 for a 50 ml tube, some clever logic there perhaps? - I'm certainly not complaining, I just buy the small ones :)
Afterthoughts: *************** Overall, I think this is a very effective whitening toothpaste - compared with a few other more expensive ones that haven't had much of an effect, this definitely gets the thumbs up from me. Reasonably worth a try.
Advantages: cheap, nice taste, seems to works Disadvantages: none
...One of these products is Macleans toothpaste.
Packaging
This product comes in the usual cardboard box which is silver with the Macleans logo written on it. Inside, the toothpaste comes in a bog standard tube which again is silver is colour with red detail on it. The lid to the toothpaste screws on and off and is therefore very easy to use.
Cost
I buy this product from Tesco's and quite often it is on some sort of special offer which is usually ... ...see the benefits.
Taste
Macleans Whitening Toothpaste is quite minty and certainly leaves your mouth feeling very refreshed. I often find that some of the whitening products can be overpowering but this is not the case with this product.
Does It Work?
I have found that my teeth have got whiter since I have been using this product although I am unable to say whether this is because of my giving up smoking, or because I am now using this product. ...

Advantages: Nice fresh taste Disadvantages: Slightly pricey, but look out for offers
...I do swear by the macleans brand however as I've used this since being a kid and I don't have any fillings at all (I'm 29 now!) It is on the pricey side at £2.50 ish a tube, but quite often it's on 2 for 1 at my local tesco's so we stock up on it then! ...

...am writing this review of Macleans Whiteing toothpaste because of something I discovered a few months ago. I looked in the mirror and noticed that my teeth were decidedly dingy, and wondered what I could d about it. As I am a receptionist in a rather upmarket finance house, I need to smile all the time, so it is important that my smile looks good. My best friend has always had lovely white sparkly teeth, so I asked for her advice. She told me that ... ...off-white, but after using Macleans Tooth whitener, her teeth got whiter and whiter. I was a bit sceptical at first, I couldn't believe that any toothpaste could actually whiten teeth, but after trying it for a couple of days, my teeth were white!! Not only white, but sparkling too. My breath tasted fresher, very pepperminty, so I felt more confident as well. I would recommend Macleans Toth Whitene to every-one, it certainly solved my problem. ...

Reviews which might be of interest for "Macleans Whitening Toothpaste"
Advantages: really whitens teeth is used regularly, fresh feeling, fluoride action, stain prevention Disadvantages: a bit expensive, not suitable for children under 6,unless supervised by adult
As a dental student and a frequent user of Macleanswhiteningtoothpaste,I do have a bit to say about the product and it's good and(bad) sides.
Positive:
1 It's an excellent toothpaste, which unlike strong mint or baking soda toothpastes, tastes gentle and mild.
2. It helps to restore natural whiteness which is different to bleaching. The effects of bleaching may not always result in the elegant "natural" whiteness.Your teeth might look too white and can be sensitive to cold.I read this in an american journal.Macleans does restore natural whiteness with a gentle frequent use action. The effect is fairly obvious in a week.(I do admit when i first used it ,I was brushing three times a day,or probably more...and I did notice my teeth were cleaner within a week). You may not agreen on my experience, but as a coffee drinker and a generous ...
Advantages: great whites!! Disadvantages: not cheapest toothpaste on the market!
I started using this toothpaste about a year ago. The results were instant. A new fresh smile to be proud of! And now a year on - I'm sure to smile and show them off every occasion I get. MacleansWhitening tastes nice and leaves your breath smelling fresh - but it doesnt always last long - I always carry some chewing gum with me just in case. I went away a few weeeks ago and had to go back to using Colgate and you notice the difference - I love being proud of my smile so now I make sure to have it with me all the time!! For smokers - this is really good as well. I love this toothpaste and won't use anything else!!! ...
A toothpaste that I have been using for a long time and strongly recommend for white glowing teeth. Excellent to deal with bacteria and very good for keeping them nice and white. It was actually recommended to me by my dentist when I went for a routine dentist appointment.
If you use MacleansWhiteningtoothpaste it won’t be long before you see the results and it’s only when you don’t use it and replace do you realise just how good MacleansWhiteningtoothpaste is. I also recommend this toothpaste for anyone who smokes since it will keep you teeth whiter.
I know a few of my friends who smoke who have yellow teeth but I haven’t told them how ‘ugly’ their teeth look. Maybe I should?
The toothpaste doesn’t cost that much, the same price as Aquafresh or Colgate but if you have to pay ...
