Macromedia Fireworks

Fireworks is a great graphics program that packs tons of useful features. Like Jasc Paint Shop Pro, this is one cool proggie I can't do without. I do a lot of web design, and of course graphics has a major effect on the look of any website. Fast loading, professional looking graphics are a must for anybody that wants to be somebody. I should start by saying quite clearly, "I can't draw!" and I am usually more concerned with the techie stuff like databases, programs and scripts. So far, I have simply done my best with Fireworks 3 (or PaintShop Pro) if I needed some graphics - generally, doing things the hard way and taking a long time but then I got the Fireworks 4 trial version - ooohhhh mama! When it comes to Graphics and Graphics programs, there are hundreds to choose from on the market. These all come in various levels of complexity and ,of course, price. Working for a design house, I normally get "lumbered" as they put it, to provide the graphics for web sites that we prepare. I regularly use fireworks 3 to generate web art for my web site and others I help design. It is my graphics program of my choice and in my opinion is the best all round web art packages available. Fireworks is very simple to install just a few things to type so even the most IT illiterate person can install. Fireworks does not seem to take up much hard disk space about 50 Meg. When I started doing web design, I had great trouble at keeping my graphics lower than 50K which really slowed down my sites. That was until I discovered Fireworks. I have worked with Fireworks since version 2 came out and even then it was a formidable piece of software.
