Oh Classy Madame!!!!

Advantages: smells fantastic, great bottle design
Disadvantages: may not be everyones cuppa tea

Like every other Christmas; this year I received lots of different perfumes from family and friends as gifts. As most people know I love my perfumes and have a very large collection of them which is forever growing. My favourite perfumes are those by Jean Paul Gaultier as they all have very sweet and feminine scents which seem to linger on my skin for hours upon end. One of the best things about the Jean Paul Gaultier perfumes is the packaging and bottle designs as they are really decorative and sometimes quite unusual compared to some of the other scents on the market. Knowing my love for Jean Paul Gaultier perfumes especially Classique; my husband treated me to a large bottle of my ultimate favourite Jean Paul Gaultier Classique as well as a large bottle of the newer fragrance which is Madame. Having never smelt Madame before I ...

Review of Jean Paul Gaultier MaDame Eau de Toilette Spray

Oh Madame!

Advantages: Sexy, sophisticated scent
Disadvantages: None

I recently received a free sample of this whilst passing through Debenhams. I am not one for normally going out of my way to buy perfumes as I tend to just stick with what I know I like and just buy these again and again when I start to run low. So how did this new scent stand against my good old reliables? The bottle: Well obviously the sample I had was a little plastic sample thing but, the bottle the Eau De Toilette comes in is clear with a slight pink tinge to it and is quite a wide rectangle shape. It has the normal female Jean Paul Gaultier bottle emblazoned on the front of the normal perfume along with the signature underneath that. The bottle comes in three sizes that I know of which are 30ml, 50ml and 100ml along with a 200ml melting body lotion. The smell: I find it very difficult to put into words how a scent is but ...

Review of Jean Paul Gaultier MaDame Eau de Toilette Spray

From London to Kenilworth

Advantages: Easy to read tale of Lord Robert Dudley, "friend" to Elizabeth I, mostly based on fact.
Disadvantages: Not as well written as the author's Queen Victoria series.

*** The Author *** This is the 10th book in Jean Plaidy's Tudor series. There are over 100 historical fiction books written by Eleanor Burford using this pen name. Other pseudonyms she used included Victoria Holt, Elbur Ford, Kathleen Kellow, Ellalice Tate, Anna Percival and Philippa Carr. She used different names for varying styles of novels. *** The Dudley Family Background *** The book opens with the crowds at Tower Hill shouting for the death of extortionists. King Henry VII, whose people thought him a miser that imposed cruel taxes, is dead, and they are hopeful of better times now Henry VIII has succeeded him. The young king has condemned some of those loyal to his father. This includes Edmund Dudley, who from a humble start, rose to become Henry VII's chief advisor. Edmund was the grandfather of the man in ...
