3 is a more powerful system, so if graphics are your main concern, then it's probably the route you should take as it's graphics will surpass the 360, just remember that multi-platform games, you really wont see a difference, it's only ever exclusive titles that need to show themselves to be better, do you think EA would say, ok, we've finished the graphics on the 360, lets can that & start the PS3 graphics cos it's more powerful, it'll look nicer! No chance, same graphics used in both versions!
Online- It has to be said, xbox live is phenominal! Games don't get played for a week or 2 anymore, they get played for months, in the case of Halo3, at least a year. Advantages: value for money, good graphics, excellent gameplay Disadvantages: lack of built in wi-fi, subscription for internet gaming, no cable to charge controller included.
The xbox360 is a very capable gaming machine, the graphics are very good and the gameplay is excellent. however in my opinion the fan noise is a bit loud and the lack of a cable to charge a wireless controller is annoying, as it means i have to constantly keep charging batteries. the user interface is very easy to navigate, with plenty of extras such as being able to hook it up to a PC, so that you can play media on your PC through your xbox. it does annoyingly lack built in wi-fi, and internet gaming is not free, in my opinion these are the xbox's biggest disadvantages. however all in all it is very good gaming machine, and is exceptional value for money. ...

We recently purchased the XBox360 as we were getting really bored of the PS2 and was looking for a console with better graphics and better choice of games.
I think the XBox360 is much better than the PS3 and it can certianly can do alot more..
There are two versions of the 360 on sale
1 - Premium pack which works out to be the best value. Includes the XBox360 console which includes dvs, HD AV cable, wireless controller, 20gb hard drive, media remote and instruction manual.
2 - Core pack. This consists of an xbox360 with dvd, wired controller, basic AV lead to plug into your tv and a large power pack and instruction manual.
