...American football is a very big sport in some countries, mostly American considering the name but it's popular all over the world and has many fans. Now there has been a few American football games out on various games consoles but I can really only remember that Madden seems to be the only genuine all round good American football game. Although this is good for business it also puts high expectations onto the shoulder of EA as people expect improvements to be made and the gameplay to be better. I have watched many NFL games and I have brought a few of the older MaddenNFL games which have been pretty good so I was hoping that when I heard Madden would be coming out on the Nintendo Wii I would love to see how EA sports have implemented the use of the Wii controller for the game and all its functions needed..

Madden 2007 on the wii is a whole new experience compared to the previous sequentials from madden. it puts you right in the mix of the action and you really feel as though you are on the field among some of the best NFL players out there such as warren sapp, peyton manning and brett favre.

As soon as you put the disc into the console you are encountered with a tutorial to take you through the basic controls of the game and this is your first oppurtunity to get your hands on the controls and feel like you are in the NFL.

..., and receivers won't make a dozen one-handed catches a game. On the other side of the ball, defenders seem to play their positions much more intelligently. Defensive backs are no longer paralyzed by the sight of a long ball, and will instead get in position to swat down the ball.
Overall, Madden's gameplay is much better than last year's version. However, not everything is perfect. Madden still only allows for one-on-one tackles. I can't wait to see how NFL 2K2 handles multiple tacklers, because when you think about it, there aren't too many times in an average football games when every tackle is a one-on-one affair. Also, while the computer A.I. has been improved by leaps and bounds, it's still pretty easy to create mismatches.
