A Good Addition in the Madden Series 1 of 1 Ciao Users found the following review helpful

Advantages Gameplay, Graphics, Realmism, Soundtrack

Disadvantages Commentary

Madden NFL Was the first American Football game I have played in over a decade so this review may differ based on this factor.

Graphics & Animation
Firstly I will comment on the graphics, from the players themselves to the stadium and field, the graphics come close to realistic in Madden 10, Players show relevant facial expressions, and the field reacts differant depending on weather conditions, even the players breath can be seen in colder temperatures. The animations are also good, touchdown celebrations, superbowl victories and even fans eating and purchasing merchandise are just a number of scenes found in the game. This makes for a more realistic football experience.

In the game itself players show smooth running animations, and realistic catching actions, from short passes to long range dives everything runs smoothly. There is even the new feature of having 9 man tackles, pile-ups and fumbles which really adds to the action.

Gameplay
Madden NFL 10 offers everything you would expect from a Football game of this day and age. From kickoff to the final whistle you won't be left bored with this game, everything you see on TV is included, field goals, quarterback passing, long range blitzing, tackling, fumbling and a whole lot more! There is even a range of training and mini game features that can be played such as tackling computer generated players, to making long range passes to another player. This helps newcombers to the series when learning the ropes for the first time.

Sound/Music
As is usually the case with EA Sports, the soundtrack offers a range of songs from Hip/Hop and Rap to Rock and Metal. The soundtrack overall, artists include Rage against the Machine, Slipknot, Beastie Boys, Kid rock and many more.

The sound effects in the game are equally as good, from players shouting comments to other players, to crowds cheering, booing and chanting. Commentary is also good however you find it repeating often, which gets boring, also John Maddens helpful tips on plays are often overlaped with commentary which makes it hard to hear. But overall the sound is very good.

Overall I was pleased with the game and the Madden NFL Series may have me hooked for the first time in over a decade, with much promised for the next game in the series it will be interesting to see how much is added to make the experience even more like real football.
