...I already have a PDA and so i decided to buy this software with the GPS receiver. I have only used it for a few outings, but so far it hasn't missed a beat. The map is very clear with very clear directions. It also keeps up with the pace of the car relatively well, so the screen isn't 50yards or so behind the cars location.
It has some good features, such as you can program your home address, so you can simply click 'navigate to home' no matter where you are. There is also a favourites list, so comment destinations can be easily pulled up without having to re-enter the postcode. Also, in the bottom right of the screen it gives the estimated time of arrival, how many more miles is left of the journey, and how long the remainder of the journey will take. ...Garmin are a relatively new company when it comes to GPS (Global Positioning Systems), yet with this product the seem set to face up to competitors TomTom and the like.
What is it?
In a nutshell, this is a microSD (memory card) that slots in to your Windows Mobile, Palm, or Symbian phone; which in turn gives you a GPS navigation system at your fingertips. You need never get lost again - wherever you are in Europe. It also provides coverage where you wouldn't have normal phone signal - which means you have directions when you need them the most. In fact, you can even check for traffic, weather & CCTV cameras.
The card itself is tiny, yet provides state-of-the-art 3D graphics on your handset. It makes TomToms sound pointless and means your car will never get broken in to for your sat...

Advantages: Cheap compared to standalone, removes the need for seperate sat nav Disadvantages: No post code only search but this can be resolved with adding a house number of any house

Key points:
GoodTraffic updates, Speed camera databases as free download, Quick route planning and excellent routes taken
Bad points: no post code only search but just add any property number
Installation is easy enough, the manual is very good and informative so dont worry about being non technical, and if you are technical you wont need the manual

The main screen has 2 main options, "where to" & "view map" the first option takes you into a second menu screen here are the main ones but not the only options
Home - This takes you to your home address entered into the settings menu
