wasted.
So, I think, the next best course of action would be to get TrackLogs brilliantly detailed PC based 1:25000 OS maps, work out my routes and waypoints and upload them to the eXplorist.
If only!
Guess which is the only GPS unit that TrackLogs (or for that matter any other PC maps) won't support, yes you've got it the eXplorist.
It's unique file structure means that only Magellan's own poor quality maps can be used to upload tracks, routes and waypoints.
Talking about file structure, apart it's inability to utilise any third party software aside, this I think is one of the eXplorists good points. It has a USB connection that works well with any XP based PC. When you plug in the eXplorist your PC sees it as another hard drive and you can upload files to and from the unit to your PC.
Additionally the GPS unit will accept ...
Advantages: Brilliant Features. Extremely easy to use. Built in SD card reader. Disadvantages: Slightly pricey compared to other GPS systems.
I recently bought this navigation system for my car. I am not familiar at all with the roads in my city and this little device has already helped me SO much. It's extremely easy to use. It's got a few options for adding destinations - you can either put in the address (even takes partials), or you can search through different categories allowing it to pinpoint the closest in the region and how far away from you they are.

The voice navigation is also quite useful. You can set it to a male or female voice, set the volume level, and when he/she speaks.
Destinations can be saved into the GPS system's built in memory allowing you to just ...
Advantages: Small, Voice Directions, 3D graphics Disadvantages: nothing
Garmin are a relatively new company when it comes to GPS (Global Positioning Systems), yet with this product the seem set to face up to competitors TomTom and the like.
What is it?
In a nutshell, this is a microSD (memory card) that slots in to your Windows Mobile, Palm, or Symbian phone; which in turn gives you a GPS navigation system at your fingertips. You need never get lost again - wherever you are in Europe. It also provides coverage where you wouldn't have normal phone signal - which means you have directions when you need them the most. In fact, you can even check for traffic, weather & CCTV cameras.
The card itself is tiny, yet provides state-of-the-art 3D graphics on your handset. It makes TomToms sound pointless and means your car will never get broken in to for your sat ...
