...I found the magimix food processor a fantastic tool. I have used it so far for making cakes, curry, smoothies, soups, sauces and a number of other dishes and I'm very pleased with the results. The engine is fairly quiet, and very powerfull. It is garanteed for 12 years so magimix would have to be pretty sure it's reliable before offering such garanty. The blades are made by sabatier, the same company who makes the famous knives. It produces very smooth results, so to speak. The bowl are made of a very resistant plastic, which I have to say would probably be the weakest link in most other blenders. This version of the blender also comes with a complete range of accessories. There is a tool for juicing oranges and lemons, a centrifuge tool to juice most fruits or vegetables, three different bowl size, and three grating and slicing disks...

What do you get for your money?
The Magimix 4200 comes in a large box with a handle, so easy to carry around if you are shopping (although a bit heavy so buy it at the end of your trip).
The product comprises of 2 parts:
- the main food processor
- a separate plastic storage box for all the components.
The magimix has 3 bowls - mini, midi and a main bowl.
The mini bowl is a small bowl which can be used for things such as chop garlic, to make a salsa verde or pesto. Equally, it is useful when you are only chopping a small amoutn of food, making less to wash up.
