Magimix Le Duo juicer with citrus press 5 of 5 Ciao Users found the following review helpful

Advantages Centrifugal - squeezes maximum juice out

Disadvantages Needs emptying frequently

I requested this juicer for a present after reading a good review in a magazine.

It was to replace my aging Kenwood juicer which I felt never extracted all the juice as I was always left with wet looking pulp.

The juicer has two tops, one for extracting juice from fruit and veg and the other is a citrus press. I wasn't too worried about having the citrus press, but it does work quite well.

The fruit or veg has to be cut small enough to go into the feed chute and is pushed down by a pusher, against a sort of grater then the grated material is spun at high speed to extract the juice. The juice runs down a chute on the front of the machine into the glass or jug that you must have in place to catch it.

When the chamber gets too full the machine starts to vibrate its way across the worktop and must be stopped and emptied. The machine is very heavy so this doesn't happen for a while unless you are juicing a lot of fruit with a lot of skin or seeds.

The manual suggests that soft skinned fruit should be peeled before juicing.

The juice is clear and not full of froth or pulp.

I don't use it as often as I should because it has to be dismantled and the pulp scraped out before the parts can be put in the dishwasher or washed.

I have found that the dishwasher tends to leave pulp in the pulp chamber as it has a wide lip that prevents it from being properly rinsed out, and I tend to wash it by hand first.
