Advantages Very fast and versatile

Disadvantages Quite heavy

Magimix 4100 is the only food processor, that I know, which comes with 3 different bowl sizes.
The motor of the processor is in the base that is about 25 x 20 x 15 cm
The three bowls are stuck, one inside the other, over the base of the food processor, in such a way that is possible to use the small one on the top without removing the others, or remove the smallest and use the medium or remove the first two and use the biggest. The smallest bowl has the removable cutting blade already in it and is used for cutting herbs or very small amount of food; I also use it for making castor sugar or icing sugar in small quantity. The second bowl, medium, has, already in it, a special removable "plastic paddle" for beating eggs or making meringues. The most roomy, of course, is the third bowl which is the one that has an handle, it clicks on the base to connect to the motor and the screw on lid has a feeding tube from which to add ingredients while processing. In this bowl I mince meat, roughly chop vegetables, make fresh bread crumbs and so on.

A nice transparent plastic box comes with the machine and contains:

- The big cutting blade to use in the largest bowl,

- A bigger " perforated plastic paddle" to use in the largest bowl for larger quantities of eggs or egg whites,

- A big hard plastic blade that is used for preparing cakes, pizza and pasta dough and more.

- A big round metal grater that positioned on the top of the big bowl allows to grate cheese, on one side, and to slice vegetables on the reverse.

To complete the food processor there is a "citrus press" that clicks onto the top of the big bowl (the two smaller ones removed). This strainer is for pressing the juices from fruits like oranges and lemons. I just love using it! Cut an orange in half and put it, with the cut side down on a cone inside the strainer, there is a special handle to press down while pressing the start button; few seconds and all the juices run inside the bowl, the skin is left without a drop!

On the front there are three buttons - start, stop, pulse - thus giving only one speed, for that reason the use of the pulse button is preferred in many cases, clearly explained in the illustrated instructions book with loads of (almost 100! ) recipes: sauces, soups, main courses, bread, cakes, desserts and many more.
All of the removable parts are dishwasher safe.
I bought the Magimix some time ago and I am not sure of the price, not cheap, but it is very versatile and anybody who enjoys cooking will love to use it
