Magimix LE DUO PLUS XL 14265 ANTH/CHR MAT

The Magimix LeDuo Juicer is worth every penny.

Advantages: Excellent juicing, heavy duty motor
Disadvantages: Parts are not dishwasher proof at normal cycles.

It has been an absolute joy to own this machine, which was bought as a replacement for a Kenwood juicer. The Magimix LeDuo works like a large centrifuge, spinning the fruit at high speed and extracting the juice through tiny holes in the outside of the spinning drum. The simple design makes it easy to clean, and Magimix even provide a tool for removing fruit pulp so that you can continue to use your machine without having to wash it all up each time you empty the pulp. EASE OF USE Extremely easy to use, the juicer can cope with 500g (a pound) of fruit at a time, before you need to remove the pulp. I have successfully used it to juice apples, pineapple, gooseberries, raspberries, apricots, grapes, and even coconut to make coconut milk! Oranges are not the only fruit ? SAFETY UPDATE!

Advantages: Well-made, cleverly designed, very effective
Disadvantages: Hard to clean, expensive - developed potentially dangerous fault

*(After five months' use, the on/off switch and safety locking mechanism on this juicer developed a fault. When switched on, sparks were visible behind the switch and there was a strong smell of burning. Also, and potentially dangerously, the motor was able to run, despite the lid not being locked in place. In view of this worrying fault, I have revised the star rating from four to three.) ?The way you squeeze my lemon, I?m gonna fall right out of bed,? sang Led Zeppelin?s Robert Plant back in 1969, demonstrating the perils of inept juice extraction.
