Advantages: Probably the best budget music making software on the market today! Disadvantages: Tendency to crash! Takes quit a while to install!

For anyone on a budget who wants to have a go at creating there own music then Magix software is very hard to beat. Although not as easy as the drag and drop file ( painting ) say of Acid software this is nevertheless a fantastic tool for music creation for beginner or professional ... ...midi composition but as always Magix provides you with a set of soundpools in different styles, so you can always use these in various combinations
Next up on the new additions is the Revolta bass & lead synthesizer, again an excellent instrument addition with some wonderful effects.Some of the basses could be fatter in my opinion but another great little VST on the whole.

Acid being much more expensive by the way.
There's some real nice additions to this new version, most notably the VST instruments. The so called Vital instruments by Yellow Tools are really quite amazing. The Piano has to be the the most realistic i have heard so far! The guitar is superb too. I found this to be the best new feature ,but be warned you do have to purchase a license key to unlock the full instrument, but it is really low priced and worth every penny. There's a vast amount of fun to be had using these.They may prove difficult for some if your not into midi composition but as always Magix provides you with a set of soundpools in different styles, so you can always use these in various combinations

Everything else is pretty much the same as the earlier versions with the Robota drum synth, Sampletank etc. ....but there is the new improved Midi and drum editor. Sad to see though that there are so few video files to play around with this time , though you can always download some of these from there website albeit for a small fee.
Another great feature is uploading ones songs to your own podcast which is created for you and sharing your work with the Magix community. Again this is really excellent and lots of fun where you can interact with like minded musicians,
All in all very highly recommended music software as always. My only gripe is it's tendency to crash , which is a shame!
