Paint that Slap On
Advantages: Comparable price to sponges, smooth finish & easy to use. Disadvantages: It takes a little longer.
...Then fighting my way through Marks and Spencer to the pre-packaged sandwich section I temporarily got distracted by the beauty corner. I used to be an addict of the smell of their Martyn Maxi hair care range but they withdrew the range from their collection last year and I like to check occasionally on the off chance that they've brought it back. Then temporally distracted again (it's quite easy to distract me) I wandered over to the applicator side ... ...if you can avoid tide marks it does make you look tanned!
As expected, there is very little foundation left on the brush and I've noticed that I'm only using one pump of my pump action foundation as oppose to two when I used sponges. Any foundation that it left can be easily rinsed off under the tap. I spoke to the make-up sales advisor when I bought the brush and she recommended using a small amount of facial wash when rinsing the brush and leaving ...

The Body shop .....Nature's Minerals Foundation Brush
Advantages: proberbly better suited to a loose body glitter Disadvantages: too messy the product its supposed to be for will go every barr where you want it to
...my brush and shook of the excess which is my usual way but it seemed to have vanished up inside the bristles and when i tried to apply the powder i was grateful i was wearing my cosmetic toweling dressing gown because it seemed to go everywhere apart from my face , needless to say i have now banished this to the bottom of my make-up bag. I think this would work better if it was a little longer in the handle and the bristles were a tad shorter , until ...

Eye Love Kimberley! (Eyelure Girls Aloud false lashes: Kimberley)
Advantages: Inexpensive way to experiment with your look - really gives a boost to eyes Disadvantages: Can be fiddly to apply, needs practise
This review is for the Kimberley girls aloud eyelashes
I love my lashes to look really long and thick but have never considered using false eyelashes before because:
1. Didn't want to look ridiculous or too drag queen
2. Knew it was fiddly and thought I was bound to make a mess of it!
I changed my mind when some work colleagues were getting ready for a girlie night out in the loos at work, and they had the Kimberley and Nicola versions ... ...don't know, Girls Aloud have recently put each of their names to false eyelashes made by Eyelure who have been making them for donkeys years (my Mum used them in the 1960's). Each Girl has a different design for instance Cheryl's and Sarah's are quite spikey, whereas Nicola's are more natural although quite long. After seeing the girls at work, I popped along to Superdrug and thought I would give them a go. I expected them to cost more than regular ...

False eye lashes, false results, waste of money and time
Advantages: you can be trying with it when alone and may succeed with a few pieces, nice box Disadvantages: difficult to use, ununderstandable instructions, poor quality, not enough material
I was always very jealous of all the celebrities and magazine cover girls glancing into the camera with their huge amazing eye lashes, so yesterday I thought I give it a try and I went to the pharmacy to purchase one of these do it yourself wonder kits.
The package
My choice was Ylure mainly because of the packaging. I have never tried false eyelashes before, so I thought I need to try the most professional looking one, even if it is a little bit ... ...the beginners difficulties. The Ylure’s package is really inviting, the discrete white and lilac shades suggest luxurious quality and the transparent window in the middle showing the individually fixed different sized lashes says this product has nothing to hide, no risk in the purchase. On the front side you can read 3 promises: 1)very natural intense effect 2)will last up to 4 weeks 3)suitable for contact lens wearers –sounds good, natural is perfect ...
