I have read many books by Jill Mansell and I have to say that I would rate 'Making Your Mind Up', which is her latest one, as one of her best. If you are not familiar with Jill Mansell, I think I would say that her novels fall into the category of 'chic lit' although I'm never quite sure exactly ... Read review

Make Up Your Mind: A Decision Making Guide to Thinking Clearly and Choosing Wisely - Hal Mooz

A proven decision-making system guides readers to the right choice every time Make Up Your ... more

Mind provides author Hal Mooz's proprietary system
for decision making. This approach consists of
three decision-making models, including: the
Decision Type Model, which characterizes what is
at stake with any decision; the Decision Solution
Model, which frames the most suitable
alternatives; and the Decision Judgment Model,
which provides ten bases for judging alternatives,
some of which may be defensible and others that,
although popular, may not be defensible to
challenge. These models guide the reader's
thinking to the most promising alternatives and
the best choice. A decision fit person enjoys the
benefit of thinking clearly about decisions and
their outcomes and is competent to act
knowledgeably and decisively about creating the
alternatives and judging them appropriately.
Become decision fit. Think clearly and act
decisively on your own decisions and help others
to do the same.

You can make your mind up but I loved this book!

AdvantagesAn enjoyable light read

Disadvantagesnone!

"I have read many books by Jill Mansell and I have to say that I would rate 'Making Your Mind Up', which is her latest one, as one of her best. If you are not familiar with Jill Mansell, I think I would say that her novels fall into the category of 'chic lit' although I'm never quite sure exactly what that is! My own definition tends to be light modern fiction. Well Jill Mansell seems incredibly good at this and all her novels are very accessible ..." Read review

Half a job

AdvantagesNone

DisadvantagesBland and boring, heard it all before

"Making Your Mind Up was just so boring I couldn't even read the whole thing. In fact I think I only managed to get about half of the wway through. I read Jill Mansell's Nadia Knows Best a whils ago and although it's not great literature it's an easy going , slighty the humours romance. The problem with this latest offering is it's exactly the same, the charaters names have changed and the storyline a little different yet essentially it's the same ..." Read review

Manufacturer's product description

Lottie Carlyle isn't looking for love when she meets her new boss, Tyler Klein. Living in a beautiful cottage with her two adorable - sometimes - kids in an idyllic village in the heart of the Cotswolds, on good terms with her charming but hopeless ex-husband and with friends all around, she's happy enough with her lot. But Tyler's perfect for Lottie and quickly she falls for him - and he for her. Unfortunately, there's a problem. For reasons that are totally unfair, Lottie's children hate Tyler. When a rival for Lottie's affections comes on the scene in the shape of charmer Seb, the children adore him, and he's certainly a distraction. But he's not Tyler - and he's not even at all what he seems. Lottie's got a problem - but thanks, in classic "Jill Mansell" style, to a tobogganing accident and a delicious series of mix-ups, all will be revealed and true love will find a way.
