Malice - Chris Wooding

I really enjoyed this, as you can tell by my rating, it definitely stands out from the crowd for a number of reasons! There's the fact that the cover leaps out at you and is 3D in a way rather than the boring covers everyone is used to now-a-days! There's also the fact that this book ...
...part ground-breaking comic. So when you're reading the book you may get to a part where it switches over to reading a comic and you get to read that too! It's kind of hard to explain but I hope you get what I mean.

This is a book I talk about non-stop! If someone asks me to recommend them a book, this one pops up in my mind, but it's usually the 3rd one I say after talking about Twilight and The Host, but who can blame me?

This I picked up as a 3 for 2 offer at Waterstones! I bought it along with "The Host" bye Stephenie Meyer, and "Prom Nights From hell". So out of all 3 of those books this ends up being the last one left to review! It was a heat of the moment thing, I was looking for another 3 for 2, one that looked interesting, but my mom said to hurry up, and I hat it when she tells me that because I might totally miss a really good book, anyhow I had been uming and aring about whether this one should or shouldn't be my 3rd book, but I picked it up anyway and I paid for it, also getting some extra points on my Waterstones advantage card!

Now I had to be honest and say that I had never ever heard of Chris Wooding, so I searched him up on Fantastic Fiction, and then I realised I'd already done such a thing in the past! So I looked at the books he has written, and there were quite a few, and I noticed some books that made it obvious who he was. These books were published by "Point Horror". So of course I had heard of him! If I had to call him either an old author or a new author, I'd definitely describe him as a new author based on the fact that he disappeared for a few years when Point Horror amazingly disappeared, but now he's back and this novel brings back the authenticity of a Point Horror novel, but with a twist, and of course, with a hell of a lot more pages!

This book is about 2 kids called Seth and Kady, who doesn't believe the rumours that talk about a guy named "Tall Jake" who if you call him, he'll take you away into a comic called Malice, a place where most kids never leave.

But a problem arises, when one of their friends disappears and Seth and Kady suddenly starts believing in the rumours, and when they get a copy of Malice, they watch one of their friends die!

It's up to Seth and Kady to bring Malice down and try to escape, but is it all that simple, especially when it says on the comic that "You Can't Escape".

It is part novel, part ground-breaking comic. So when you're reading the book you may get to a part where it switches over to reading a comic and you get to read that too! It's kind of hard to explain but I hope you get what I mean.

Not only that but it also doesn't help when you're attempting to put it on your bookshelf as it'll sort of stand out with the fact that there'd be a little bit of a gap in front of it!

Overall this is a really good book, and I totally recommend this to you! I loved it and so will you. The book constantly reminds me of "the Hunger Games" by Suzanne Collins, as it's in that sort of area, but they are different but the same, as you can tell if you bother reading them both! I definitely recommend this to you, and totally believe that it's next to impossible to find someone who won't like this book, unless they hate reading all-together!
