I bought a Mamas & Papasdreampod to match the nursery decor (Roundabout boys). I didn't really take into account the features of the sleepingbag, it was bought purely to co-ordinate! Having used it now for 2 months (the bag in question being 0 to 6 months, 1tog rating), I can honestly say it has been a godsend! My little boy wriggles & rolls around in his cot - he ends up all over the place! - & I honestly don't know how I would keep blankets over him. The sleepingbag is easy to put on & doesn't need to be removed for night changes - simply unzip the bag for ease of access. Compared to such as the Grobag versions, the M&P bag has a larger neck opening which makes it much easier to put on. I have already been & bought the next size up (6 to 18 months) because I don't plan to even attempt sheets & blankets in the near future ...
Advantages: Safe, comfortable sleeping environment for baby Disadvantages: takes training as arms are free
of a sleepingbag is excellent, as you can see in the picture above it fits over the babies shoulders and leaves plenty of room for kicking legs. They are designed to be comfortable and warm and not require additional bedding. As there are no sheets to kick off while in a baby sleepingbag, your baby won't wake up cold, or with sheets or blankets over their heads. Baby stays at a comfortable temperature and becomes a familiar envirnoment making trips away easier.
The dream pod comes in two togs: 1.0 - ideal for warmer weather, holidays, and daytime naps and 2.5 suitable for all year round. It is also available in two sizes 0-6 months and 6 - 18 months, making the larger size good value for money.
Having a gro bag in addition to this, there isnt a great deal of difference, however I would say that the gro bag web site is much more informative ...
Advantages: great quality Disadvantages: expensive
: moses basket, cot sheets, cot bumpers, cushions, curtains, pictures, sleepingbag, cot blankets, various soft toys, wall paper, laundry bag and nappy sacks. It is beautiful stuff, but to kit out a whole room and add furniture this would set you back several thousands. I do remember feeling quite down whilst pregnant and wandering around Mamas and Papas, because there was no way we could afford one of their perfect nurseries. I think it was probably the hormones!
So the downside is the general expense. Also some of the ranges, such as the beige and cream ones, don?t look very child friendly. For example once baby is on the move it won?t look quite as lovely once it is covered in spit and sticky hand prints!
They have a range of cots and nursery furniture, which include cots, cotbeds, changing units, dressers and wardrobes. The ranges are ...
