It isn't a very slim-line highchair to look at, but when it is folded, it stands against a wall easily, not taking up too much room. It isn't a very slim-line highchair to look at, but when it is folded, it stands against a wall easily, not taking up too much room. It also has the advantage that it locks into its folded position easily, so there is no chance of it opening and squishing a passing child (or grown up!) by accident. It is quite heavy though, so when they get to the age of trying to climb up it, it can hurt more than a lighter one! My house must sound like a death trap!
The seat itself is lovely and padded, with a plasticy covering that can be wiped clean easily, and can also be removed for cleaning. The seat itself has four different positions, so it can be reclined or made upright as suits your baby - this was especially useful when Bronwyn was first feeding, but not as steady sitting alone as she could be, as we could recline it and still sit easily to feed her. The seat can also be raised through 7 different positions, making it ideal for any height table. It has a five point harness, so that your child can be sat securely, and the shoulder straps can be detatched, to enable you to just strap in around the waist if you prefer - this does make it slightly less safe for your child (but mine hates shoulder restraints, so is much happier without them).
Prima Pappa has a large tray, which is easily removed/secured with one hand, to aid parents holding a wriggly baby who is trying to escape!
There are wheels on the bottom, so that you can move it easily, and the back wheels can be locked.
It works very well, and my little one seems happy in it, but I feel that there are a few to many creases and folds for my liking - The wipeable seat is great, but when you have a small child who likes squishing sandwiches etc. down the sides, the food tends to get stuck in the creases, and wiping can't always get it, you have to take off the whole cover and scrub it (then you get the great task of putting it back on! Like getting lost inside a duvet cover, but with lots more corners to find).
The tray also has a big join going all the way around it, and my child at least, likes chewing the side halfway through a mouthfull, and food gets lodged in the gap, meaning that instead of a quick wipe with Mr Muscle and putting it away, you have to scrub in the edges with a brush, or risk lot sof nasty things in there next time she decides to eat it!
For a family house, and someone who doesn't mind the odd bit of scrubbing, this is an excellent highchair, very comfortable, easy to use, and sturdy - this thing'll last for quite a few children! But if you are in a little flat, or don't want the hassle of having to thoroughly clean it regularly rather than just a quick wipe after meals, then its probably not for you.
I love it as a great special offer, but I wouldn't go out and buy it new.
Advantages: comfy for baby, fold easily, changes height, taking the seat cover off... Disadvantages: putting the seat cover back on.. and managing to clean the thing properly!
When I was pregnant, i tried to avoid mama and papas goods as i tended to think that all I was paying for was the name, and to be honest 2 years later i'm still not too sure on my assumption..
This highchair has many different features, the main ones are:
The Seat has 4 positions - There is a tab on the back of the seat which needs to gently pulled upward and then the seat tilts backwards and forwards. With the seat fully reclined my son was sitting ... ...Wow, 7 different heights? I thought this wouldn't come in handy at first but i was definitely wrong. It is simple to change the height. All you need to do is stand behind the chair, press a button on either side of the seat and hey presto it moves up and down. I find it easier to put my foot on the bottom of the high chair as if you are trying to move the height upwards you tend to lift the whole chair!!! Self Standing - If I’m honest, I haven't ...

Advantages: very comfy for baby.....stylish looking Disadvantages: Quite large.....a little awkward to clean
OK.....time for me to do a 'proper' review as I have been faffing around doing all the little fun ones!
Baby number 3......(well now she's 1yr old!)
Having used the same highchair(and everything else!) for my previous 2 children we decided on buying 'all new' for our last one!
We went to our local baby store where we set up an account for just about everything~~~pram, cot, car seat, highchair etc etc...
I also felt a little flush having just sold ... ...stuff in the Mama'a and Papas range....more pricey but I had heard and read great reviews on them so thought I'd give them a go this time round as it was a luxury we could'nt afford with the first 2!
The Prima pappa highchair ended up costing us £80 after a bulk buy discount..not too bad really as it will be used for a few years!
I chose the 'picnic time for teddy-bears' theme which is a creamy and grey colour-way with 4 little teddies having a...you ...

Advantages: Easy to use Disadvantages: Quite bulky to take in car
We bought this high chair as it is very good quality and extremely sturdy. A lot of the parenting magazines have given it very positive reviews and it has won several rewards.
The seat has four different positions, perfect as your child develops and also useful should your child get tired or sleepy whilst you are in the middle of a meal. We have also found that it is really useful being able to tip the chair back when youre giving your child medicine- ... ...than all over you!
It has a lovely padded cover (with a choice of designs)and a moulded seat, adding great comfort. The seat also wipes clean very well. The padded section is also removeable, allowing you to clean underneath where stray food always gathers on any high chair.
Th adjustable straps keep your child secure and stop them from climbing out.
The are 7 different height positions, meaning it will fit at any table or will go down low if ...

Advantages: Comfy and secure for young babies Disadvantages: Nightmare to clean
I first started using the Prima Pappa high chair when my baby was 5.5 months old. It was the first and only highchair we had at the time.
Good points
* Because my baby wasn't sitting up alone when I first used this high chair, I was reassured by the multi-recline positioning and the comfortable padded seat. My baby always looked very comfy and supported in it, and the recline helped to feed her when she tended to slump forwards.
* Now that my ... ...fact that I can remove the tray and let her sit/play in it whilst I get on with cooking or housework.
* Good secure harness system gives you peace of mind that your baby cannot escape!
* Very stable and secure. I was confident my baby would not be able to rock it over or unbalance it.
* Removable double tray feature allows you to take the inner tray and wash it easily
Bad points
* Due to the nature of the padded seat and numerous plastic mouldings ...

Mamas and Papas have triumphed again. This is a well designed, family friendly product, and well worth every penny. ...
