Mamas & Papas Pro-tour Group 1 2 3 Car Seat

I know it's a very emotive title but I really think it's an accurate one.
We bought the exact model pictured about approx 18 months ago (117 GBP) and although it was never an easy seat to use (the 5 point harness twisted all too easily) we could at least trust it to be safe.
However, since moving to the next stage where the cars 3 point harness comes into play we discovered that when our daughter leans forward to pick something up (and ...
...the shoulder is so badly designed that it stops the seat belt from retracting and thus effectively left our daughter in an unrestrained seat.
We've tried it on 2 makes of car (although to be honest I don't see why we should have to!) a Fiat and a Toyota and the result was exactly the same in each one and even then we even went so far as to try fitting it on drivers and passenger sides with no change.

However, since moving to the next stage where the cars 3 point harness comes into play we discovered that when our daughter leans forward to pick something up (and all children will do this) the red plastic guide at the shoulder is so badly designed that it stops the seat belt from retracting and thus effectively left our daughter in an unrestrained seat.
We've tried it on 2 makes of car (although to be honest I don't see why we should have to!) a Fiat and a Toyota and the result was exactly the same in each one and even then we even went so far as to try fitting it on drivers and passenger sides with no change.
The seat was then returned to our nearest M&P outlet where 3 members of staff all got the same resultt as we did.
A month later, we've been informed that, despite half a dozen or so calls by ourselves, that the seat is still at the outlet and no-one in the company has even tested it yet.
We have asked for it to be returned (it's still our property after all) so that we could have it tested by the AA, but still have no seat and no answers apart from "You're the only ones who have mentioned this" (I paraphrase slighty!)
Very, very disappointed by M&P's attitude and frankly shocked that a product like this wasn't tested more thoroughly beforer being released onto the market.
