the car seat can fit on the chaset and can be taken off and put in your car. the baby has the advantage of a nice spcious moses basket top and as they get older they can go in to the bugg part. wqith mine i also got between the handles a cup holder and a space to put a sandwich or keys. it also has a very spacious basket under the ... ...in. it folds down very easily but found that it was a little bit larger than other prams was a bit hard to store

Advantages: Safe and comfortable Disadvantages: Bulky and heavy
We got the Ultima 3 in 1 in June 2004, a few weeks before our baby was born. It cost us £420 from John Lewis and we got it in black denim style material with the MPX chassis. I believe that M&P have updated the range of colours and materials available since then. Also I think there may be more chassis options available now.

In my opinion, safety is the most important aspect of any baby product and this 3 in 1 has proven to be safe...
... ...the pushchair the other day when I lost control of it. The whole thing toppled onto it's side and then rolled over so it was upside down! This was completely my fault and I was mortified thinking that I'd hurt my baby. However, not only was she completely unharmed, she thought the whole experience was hilarious and laughed all the way home!

Advantages: Very easy to use .... Disadvantages: A little on the bulky side

This travel system is comprised of five components.
Baby car seat base
This is secured into the car by the lap portion of a standard seatbelt.
Baby car seat
A seemingly very comfy car seat (Erin doesnt have any trouble getting to sleep) although long journeys can be a little ... ...the top of the base unit, and the torso part of the seatbelt wrapped around the rear of the seat (it faces backwards), after its been clipped into the Base

Advantages: Versatile, easy to use, sturdy and very trendy (!) Disadvantages: It's a bit bulky.
When it came to buying a buggy my husband and I were at loggerheads. I wanted the traditional looking pram so our newborn could lie flat and my husband wanted something that would last longer than the first six months.
Then we found the ultima. This three in one pram has it all.
FIRST there is the traditional pram. This clicks onto the chassis extremely easily. The pram part is a little heavy although I can manage it, as can my mum. The pram allows ... ...can adjust it very easily so they are at a slight angle or even sitting up straight.
SECOND there is the buggy part. Again, this simply clicks onto the chassis. It can be facing you or facing away. This lasts until the child is approximately 3 years old.
THIRD there is the car seat. Very easy to click into the car (you leave the base in the car). You can also pop the car seat onto the chassis so if you're shopping on a nice day or baby has fallen ...

Advantages: The "one click release" system is easy and you can easily take the car seat from car to chassis with no fuss. Disadvantages: Car seat is heavy, can work out to be expensive.
...the original Travel System, with Mamas and Papas being the first company to offer you the freedom of using any attachment (car seat/pushchair/carrycot) solo on any of their Chassis, with a simple on click attach/release system. But is origianl best ? When I was pregnant the moment I saw this I was smitten. The ability to just click the car seat out of the car then onto the chassis simply and quickly did it for me, but after baby came and it was in ... ...All Mamas and Papas equipment is on the pricey side, but once you add the Primo Viaggio car seat on this travel system it'll bump up the price by about another £70 and all in all can cost you well over £400. The car seat is one of the heaviest on the market, which is OK when you have a 7lb newborn but a totally diffent matter when you are trying to carry around a 15lb seven month old infant. ;Ultima3in1’ system (that’s a pram, carrycot and pushchair) which I have also bought (see separate opinion). If you are not looking for a ‘3in1’ and just need a car seat and push chair only (‘2 in1’) you may wish to consider Mama's & Papa's complete 2-set package 'Freestyler Completo’ which costs about £339.99.
I cannot emphasize enough how helpful these travel systems are - it means if your baby has fallen asleep in his/her car seat during a car journey you can simply unclip the car seat and attach it directly onto a G-matic chassis to create a travel system without having to lift baby out of car seat etc and not waking the baby up!
The car seat can also be used as a rocker to gently rock the baby when not fixed on its surefix base or even as a short term seat to use at home.
