Advantages: easy to assemble and use Disadvantages: thin mattress, very heavy
I was going to borrow a travel cot from a friend, but I belong to Factfinders, a system where I scan my weekly shopping to obtain points which can be used to buy things. I discovered that I had earned enough points (7000) to obtain one for free.
They had the Mamas & PapasClassic Travel Cot, with a retail value of £40, so I decided to grab it.
M & P are currently selling this travel cot on their website for £35.00, a reduction of £5.
It can also be used as a playpen, which will be great when she is a bit older and crawling and I need to pop her somewhere safe for a moment.
WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE AND IS IT EASY TO ASSEMBLE?

Well, for looks, the cot has four mesh sides and solid corner posts. They are padded for safety and ease of cleaning
It comes wrapped in its own ...
Advantages: Comes with loads of extras Disadvantages: Too many to list here.
I bought this pushchair after I had my youngest child for a number of reasons. It came with loads of extras which when bought seperatly can work out costing more than the pushchair, and it was very light, only weighing 5 kgs. This was a very important factor as I live in a block of flats on the third floor, and there is no lift. So I knew that I would have to carry it and a child up and down the stairs on a daily basis.
It seems that this pushchair is exclusive to Argos, and dosen't seem to be even available in the Mamas and Papas stores, or even on-line. In hindsight, I suppose alarm bells should have been ringing. When I bought this, I paid £99.99, although the price has since dropped to £69.99. It also came with a 6 month manufacturer guarantee.
So, what did I get for my money.

Advantages: great quality Disadvantages: expensive
Babies are expensive. We used to be under the naïve impression that babies are very small, so how much stuff could they need. After much aimless wandering around Mothercare and Mamas and Papas we realised the error of our ways, there seems to be no end to the stuff that babies need and this is before you get to the stuff that you want to buy that they could probably do without. We spent a horrendous amount in Mamas and Papas whilst Scarlett was still a bump!
Mamas and Papas always seems to me to be like the ?designer? shop of the baby world. Whilst Mothercare is practical and quite down to earth. Mamas and Papas seems a bit more upmarket. Well as upmarket as baby stuff gets! Flicking through their catalogue its full of slim models in white linen outfits holding pretty babies who look more like their younger brothers and sisters than ...
