Advantages: Light and easy to manoeuvre, stylish, good value. Disadvantages: Like most "travel systems" it's bulkier than a buggy.
I bought this travel system in a swivel wheel version a year ago. I knew I wanted a three-wheeler and, having gone round the shops trying them all out and boring my husband, the first thing that struck me about this one was how much lighter and easier to handle the "Sport" version is than the others in the 03 range, or indeed any of the other brands in the same price range. You can fix the front wheel when you want to "off-road" ... ...paved areas. It has a multi-adjustable handle so is suitable for baby-pushers big and small.
I also bought the System 03 car seat which attaches to the pushchair in a rear-facing position. This makes the pushchair suitable from birth up to 15kg (approx 3 years), with the baby riding in the car seat for the first nine months or so, then graduating to the main forward facing seat, which has an adjustable back in case baby wishes to recline! more
I bought this travel system in a swivel wheel version a year ago. I knew I wanted a three-wheeler and, having gone round the shops trying them all out and boring my husband, the first thing that struck me about this one was how much lighter and easier to handle the "Sport" version is than the others in the 03 range, or indeed any of the other brands in the same price range. You can fix the front wheel when you want to "off-road" or let it swivel which is great for shops and paved areas.
So after nine months of fairly strenuous use I can report that it has stood up pretty well to everything we've put it through. We've been up hills in the snow, through muddy fields, over slippery duckboards, and up and down kerbs, pavements and shop floors galore! The pushchair has managed each of these with aplomb. It's also great for tight spaces - like a London taxi, this thing can turn within its own circle.
When it came to folding the pushchair, at first it seemed stupidly complex, but after a couple of broken nails and a bit of swearing and some helpful tips from the kind staff at M&P I soon got the hang of it. The trickiest part is attaching and removing the adaptors for the car seat: the pushchair won't fold with them in place (the only real design flaw I have come across - but it's probably for safety). This means you have to take them on and off each time you use it and they are quite stiff. There is a knack to it though, and luckily once baby gets big enough to face forward you'll never need them again...hooray! Now that I no longer use them, the pushchair is a dream to pack up, and I have often impressed friends and bystanders with my speediness as I collapse the chair, whip the wheel off and bung it into the boot in record time.
My saloon car doesn't have a the world's smallest boot, but it is a contender for the most shallow and highest up, so I was anticipating problems when I bought the pushchair. However, it does fold up amazingly flat for its size and it's easy to lift. All the wheels are removable: the front one is a little bit fiddly with the type of lever you'd get on "quick-release" pushbike wheels, but the rear wheels have such a simple catch that you can remove a wheel single-handed while balancing the pram on your knee (a trick I have mastered, enabling me to lift the pram into the boot while simultaneously removing the wheel, thus stopping the pram getting all wet and muddy!)
The car seat sits securely in the car and is really sturdy and easy to buckle in. It doubles as a carry-cot but is a little on the heavy side and by about five or six months old the weight of baby and seat combined was starting to get a bit too much and I often left it in the car rather than carrying it back and forth from the house (the seat, not the baby!).
Like all these types of travel system, the pushchair is large, and although I do use it on the Park and Ride bus, you have to hope nobody else is on the bus with another big pram or indeed a wheelchair, cos you'll be using their space! Once that happened to me, and although I could have folded it up, I had so much Christmas shopping in it that it was easier to wait 10 mins for the next bus! If you use public transport a lot though, you'd be better off getting a light foldaway buggy as soon as baby's big enough.
There is storage underneath for shopping but it's a funny shape and hard to access. You can fit a lot in as long as it's small or squashy shopping. It also comes with a pump for the tyres.
Thank you for reading my epic review! For me, the pram was the single most important and exciting purchase I made for the baby, so I wanted to give you as much detail as possible. In conclusion, I got it in the sales from M&P for £150 plus £80 for the car seat, total £230 including babycosy and the headhugger/strap covers set. I think this was excellent value. I've only had one problem with it and that was when the corner of the hood frayed, but M&P replaced it for me free of charge. I'm not sure if M&P still sell this exact model but other stockists may have it or you may find it second hand, if so I would definitely recommend it as mine has performed brilliantly overall and is still going strong!
Advantages: Lovely looks, value, large seat, adjustable handle just great!!! Disadvantages: Is very large and heavy but if you do alot walking is great!
Well this is actually my 3rd pushchair for my now 2 year old son. I had an Emmaljunga Cerox from birth which I loved but he's now too big for then I got a Jane Energy stroller but hated the lightweight umbrella fold, double handle thing! I've only had this for about 3 weeks now and I love it! It folds very easily but no compact at all. You just have to pull up a small tab on one side of the handle push the other side down and pull 2 small tabs up ... ...on the side. As mentioned it is large and heavy but I use the handle and wheel it along like a suitcase when it's folded! The seat unit is bsolutely huge and by far th comfiest I've seen for a large child it is well padded and will last until around 4 I reckon. The thing I like best about the seat is the fact it sits up straight unlike some others which seem to be slightly lean back. It is simple to move using the webbing strap on the back it just ...

Advantages: you can push it anywhere! Disadvantages: bulky for public transport/small car
I had been thinking of buying a 3 wheel pushchair for a while but had no idea which one. As soon as I came across the citi sport in a shop, I loved the look of it. It appeared well made and heavy duty. The one thing I will point out about it's looks is it's masculinity! Black and bold in colour so men will be just as happy pushing this pushchair as the women.
I decided to give the citi sport a practice push around the shop and was pleased with it's ... ...3 wheel pushchairs so it's a little harder to get around corners. It is a little bulky to store/put in a small car boot, but you can remove the wheels easily to make it more compact.
The real test came when I was on holiday . It was amazing!! This pushchair will go anywhere. Up hills, down gravel paths, over the beach! YES the beach! The only place it won't go so easily is onto a public transport. This pushchair is very heavy to be hauled up onto ...

Advantages: Sturdy, looks amazing, hard wearing Disadvantages: heavy to lift, large in size even when folded
...on ebay. Admittedly the mamas and papas 03 sport did look amazing, still does infact and can be pushed with great pride as onlookers not only coo at your baby but at this impressive monster of a travel system.
The car seat is easily detachable, after a little practise and is easy to strap into the car. Baby seems very comfy and doesn't seem scrunched up in it, as other babies often seem in theirs. It is however a little heavy for carrying on its ... ...the pram out of the boot.
When she is in the pram ( without the car seat attached) it makes me very sleepy and envious that I don't have a giant comfy bed to be wheeled about town in.
The pram is easy to fold and unfold, however it is very diffficult to lift into the boot, particulary after a caesarean, I couldn't manage this until fairly recently (10 weeks later!). When the pram is in the boot, don't plan on driving far, particularly if you have ...

Quick review of Mamas & Papas 03 series sport
A bit too bulky and heavy compared to the jane Slalom Pro buggy.
No option of removing the seat you are not using, neither is there an oprtion of infant carrier laying flat.
Good price though and quite a robust buggy, compared to the quinny 3-wheeler. ...

Advantages: Cheap - but you get what you pay for! Disadvantages: Poor build quality that doesn't last
My son is now nine months old and we have been using the 03 Sport buggy and travel system since birth. As a three wheel buggy it is a "no frills" basic system which we were extremly happy with, we felt that it wasn't overly bulky or heavy compared to other 3 wheelers. However, ever since we bought this buggy we have had problems with it. The first problem was when in the unlocked position the front wheel would cause the whole buggy to shake violently ... ...holding the front wheel by half a turn. Since then one of the rear wheels developed a loud squeek - they swapped the wheels over at it solved the sqeeking problem however, now the same rear wheel completley falls out whilst we are out walking and if we pick the buggy up it just dropps out! Other problems we have had during the nine months includes the front wheel locking system no longer works, the stiching around the zip on the hood has come apart, ...
