When I was pregnant I spent a lot of time looking at different pushchairs and prams. As this was my first baby I wasn't really sure what I would need. I decided I would quite like a pram, as they are supposed to be much better for younf babies, but i would also need a pushchair from about 3 months onwards.

We came across the Mamas & Papas Pliko P3 in the January sales. They were selling the pramette version complete with the Primo viaggio car seat for £300, a massive £100 off the normal price. To be honest I loved it and fell in love with it instantly. so after much deliberation we bought it.

We first used it when our little girl was a week old and it was brilliant. My little girl had plenty of room to move around, and was really wamr and snug whilst it was in pram mode. We couldn't have asked for a better pram. The only complaint I had was that the break wasn't very good and didn't seem to work.

We then tried to use it as a pushchair when she was a bit older, and she hated it. She didn't seem to like the way the straps fastened across her and used to cry all the time. Not being a driver I had to push it for miles some days and found it very heavy to push. The frame also used to creak a lot and the whole thing just felt to me as if it might break at any minute.

Instead we used it as a travel system, with the Primo viaggio car seat clipped on. This seems to fit really well, and my little girl loves being pushed around in it. There is also no need to use the raincover when using it like this, as the main hood and teh car seat hood fit together, so your baby can't get wet. The main advantage of using it as a travel system is that you can transfer your sleepin baby from the car to the pushchair without waking them up!

My little girl is now 10 months old and we do still use the P3 at weekends, when my husband is around to do the pushing. My little girl is now quite happy in it, now that she can sit up a bit more. However, it still feels to be as if it might break at any moment and doesn't look as though it is only 10 months old.

We ended up buying a Mclaren pushchair a few months ago, and that is by far my pushchair of choice, but that's a whole other review!

Features:
- awarded pushchair of the year two years in a row by Mother and Baby Magazine
- Aluminium chassis making it the lightest Pramette available
- Integral Toddler Ride-On-Step for carrying a second child
- Deeper sides and extra padding in seats for comfort
- Fabric lining retracts perspiration keeping your baby dry
- Features the Surefix© one click system that fastens the Primo Viaggio SIP Infant Carrier
- Four position backrest with single hand recline and three position leg rest
- Adjustable five point safety harness
- Height adjustable handles with integrated cup holder
- Protective and easy to clean 'gate style' opening bumper bar
- Easy to use spring loaded umbrella folding
- Luxury padded 'Completo' Apron
- suitable from birth - 15kg
- weight is 9kg

Overall, it makes a good pram and travel system but is too heavy as a regular use pushchair and isn't worth the high price.
