One of the best out there

Advantageseasy to follow, good variety

Disadvantagesrequires some skill/talent

"...on the part of drawing manga you found most difficult, but it was an expensive outlay. This book is a fantastic resource for anyone wanting to start drawing manga, as it actually teaches you starting point techniques for drawing: unlike many other books that really just teach you to make a copy of the figures they;ve drawn step by step! It's also a helpful volume if you want to develop your own characters, as it teaches you to think artistically ..." Read review

Manga mania positive review

AdvantagesReally useful first start tutorial

DisadvantagesNeed to expand own knowledge

"I found this book really helpful. It wasn't condescending like other tutorial books are instead it was very helpful. It gave you a drawing style showed you how to create a simple model using an simple wire example. Then simply let you go where you wanted to from there. Other tutorials simply promote the reader to trace and copy what they show and never really help the user to expand thier knowledge and talents in creating thier own characters and ..." Read review
