Maplin Electronics

Bought a solar powered security light from maplins which after 1 day went faulty would only stay on for 1 to 2 seconds at a time i took light back to the Erdgington branch of maplins where i bought it from they tried the light in store and it worked fine so obviously is was went it was outside and damp getting it shorting somewhere.
They said its fine and went to give it me back which i told them i didnt want it as there is a fault somewhere with it.
I asked for my money back which the store manager was very rude and said your not having your money back i can give you a replacement which really i shouldnt do?
i had no choice but to take replacment.
I would advise people not to buy from maplins as they will not give you your money back i will never buy anything from Maplins again.
The review isnt vague if you read properly it is meant soley on their refund policy which none existent if goods are faulty they will not offer you a refund just a credit note or a replacement as they say they can not resell the item because it has been used.which to me is wrong as you shouldnt be reselling an item that is faulty anyway.
