This is a great amplifier. You are probably looking here as you are considering buying a used one - well go for it as you will not regret it. I have owned one for a number of years as both my main and then bedroom amp. I have used it to drive all manner of speakers from bookshelf to standmounts to floorstnders and it struggled with none of them. I have mine rigged up to a pair of Mission 773s and they are great in combination. In the past I had a pair of Eltax Liberty 3 standmounded speakers with a Celestion CS135 passive subwoofer and this setup punched WAY above its financial weight and impressed a friend of mine used to spending thousands on pre-amps alone.
I will not go into detail bere about how this amp reacts to what specific song as that to me just sounds pretentious. They do not favour one type of music over another so this would be pointless anyway. This amplifier is however only as good as the source you use anyway so match it with a good CD player and you will reap rewards.
This amp just falls short of a five star rating as it has no second set of speaker binding posts. This would have been nice to make Bi-Wiring more convenient. Not a major flaw and does not detract from this fantastic used bargain.
