Game Basics
Mario Kart on the Wii is the greatest game out on the Wii as yet. It is a basic racing game where the aim is to come first. The game comes with a steering wheel which you simply just click your Wii Remote into before playing the game. Of course, you don't have to have the wheel to play, you can just use the Wii Remote by itself so if you only have one wheel but four Wii remotes, you can still play with four people.
Characters
The game features all the famous Mario characters including Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Peach & Toad to name but a few. There is also Baby Mario & Baby Peaches who are just the cutest. There are about twelve characters you can choose to be, each having three motorbikes and three cars to race in each.
Multiplayer Options
The multiplayer options for this game are fantastic. You can play with up to four people, play against your friends online or play against total strangers online from all over the world. You can't talk to them unless you have both added each other as friends on the Wii, so it is totally childproof as you have to add each other to be able to send messages and play against each other in friend mode.
Online Mode
You can play against total strangers online and the better you do the more points you get. You start with 5000. If you do well, you earn points, if you do rubbish, you lose them so you can see how well other people are doing compared to others online.
The Courses
The courses are amazing. There are eight different cups to try and beat. When you first get the game, you only have four as you have to unlock the other ones. There are four courses in each cup, some of the courses featured in the older Mario Kart games.
Items
There are lots of new items to use against people and all the old ones too.
Your Mii
Once you have completed a certain amount of the game, you can even play as your Mii!
My View
I think Mario kart is the best game that has been released on the Wii yet! It's online features are practically amazing so even if you have no friends round, but fancy playing multiplayer, you can just play random people from all over the world. It's safe for young children to play as well as you can't talk to the other racers unless you both add each other as friends. It's a great competitive game to play alone, with friends or with complete strangers!
