Mario Kart has pretty much cornered its market since day one, the newest release of the series is no different.

With the new technology of the Wii, it makes driving in Mario Kart even more fun. The Wii Wheel allows you to control the kart like a real car. Although i personally prefer the Wiimote/Nunchuk combo.

Now where do i start, this game has so many good features about it, i think i'll start with the multiplayer aspect of the game.

MK:Wii supports up to 4 players offline, and with the new 12 driver races this means you can have 4 players and 8 AI drivers, having AI in 3/4 player races is a first in the Mario Kart series, this makes the offline driving as fun as the online driving, extremely good fun for when you have some friends round.

The online side of the game is no let-down either, supporting 2 player split-screen over the internet, meaning you can grab a friend and have some fun online, with up to 11 other players (or 10 if you have a guest). The games private races are a bit of a let down, the game doesnt allow AI in online races, which means if you fancy a 1 vs 1 with someone, it'll be exactly that, also there are no options you can choose in an online game, other than vote for which track you want. The game is fairly active online, you won't have trouble joining a 12 player game.

The game of course features the 50/100/150/mirrored classes, it contains 32 tracks, 24 characters, 36 different vehicles, both karts and bikes.

Really this game fails on nothing, it supports all types of controllers, gamecube controllers, wiimote and nunchuk combination or using the wiimote itself as the wiiwheel.

The only downside to this game is sometimes online you'll run into a hacker, Mario Kart hacks are widely used, usually giving the hacker unlimited blue shells or powerstars, i ran into one of them online and it was almost impossible to beat him, even in a 12 player race were he had a lot of targets to focus on, he even managed to choose who he shot at with his blue shells, meaning he could be in 1st and still shoot you with a blue shell if you were in say 8th or 12th.
