Advantages: In-depth information, covers everything
Disadvantages: Prices mentioned are US dollars

...at the front of the book so you know what to look out for). The only thing about Filmmaking for Dummies that could be seen as a negative factor, is the fact that it is an American book, which makes odd bits of information irrelevant to a UK market (though not much), and it means that you will have to look up any prices it gives for yourself, as of course, they are in US dollars. Overall, Filmmaking for Dummies is without doubt a useful book for anyone interested in filmmaking, and is written in a straightforward manner suitable for everyone. My copy of Filmmaking for Dummies was bought in Waterstones for only £13.95 (it is quite a large book), and it can be found on Amazon for £8.37, or cheaper if you go for a second hand copy - great value for money.... Review of Let's Get Lost - Craig Nelson by Freddydog

Advantages: well written, researched and witty
Disadvantages: There does not seem to be a second book

..."Lets Get Lost" written by Craig Nelson priced £6.99 and published by Headline. This is more than a travel book, much more. Short listed for the WH Smith Travel writing Award, Craig Nelson’s “Lets Get Lost” is a diamond of a book that is witty and cleverly written for the armchair traveller. If Bill Bryson thinks he has the market cornered in the witty travel writing section he should start to worry. This is the book I moved to the spare room for, enabling me to stay up half the night so I could carry on reading, because I really could not put it down. This is not a back packers story but a collection of holidays to distant places which the author who lives in the USA has researched and researched. Packing as many amazing facts as he possibly can into the chapters. He amazed me with facts several times that I... Read review

How do I write my Ciao opinions?
Review of Dummy's Books (Range) by lolotte

Advantages: once read, you're no longer a dummy
Disadvantages: very ugly on your bookshelf

...one. One good thing about those books is that, in France at least, you'll tell me about UK, they are sold everywhere books are, no need to go to special computer shops where the salesclerks speak that weird language no one understands but nerds *g*. Second good thing, one can't miss them on the shelves, the cover is an eye-offensive yellow, with a big title eating up a third of the space, on a black background. Talk about an easy prey, lol. Moreover, their size gives them away: a good 13 x 19 centimeters – quit throwing stones at the frog, please, I'll convert – which is 9.24 x 7.43 inches (thank you Internet for small blessings). A paperback, yes, but if you manage to fit it in your pocket, I'll seriously question your sense of fashion. When you enter the computer section of the bookstore, the whole Dummy's collection is peacefully... Read review
