Advantages: Seems to make me healthier Disadvantages: Tastes and smells awful
Last week when I was at work, two of the salesman were having a 'heated discussion' (argument!) about whether or not you could drink AloeVera. I was more than happy to settle their argument by telling them that I drink it everyday!
Although AloeVera is a member of the Lily family, it is very cactus like in its characteristics. There are over 240 different species of Aloe, growing mainly in the dry regions of Africa, Asia, Europe and America. AloeVera has been shown to have various beneficial effects on the body when taken in internally. Some of which are listed below.

Advantages: great healing properties Disadvantages: none

My dad uses this on his coldsores also recomended by the cleaner as the sun always breaks his lips out and it works better than any coldsore cream we have ever tried.
Aloevera is found in a lot of medicins, creams, toiletries and cosmetics.
It is sensative enough to be able to be used around the eyes and even drunk for stomach problems such as ulcers or calitus.
We use lots of it in our house, i put it on every cut or burn as it kills infection, speeds up healing and reduces scaring. I also use it in my bath water to stop my eczema and it works wanders.
A medium sized plant about 40cm tall will only cost you £2 from B&Q and for all the things it is useful for you cant beat that. ...

Advantages: Leaves hands feeling soft and smooth. Disadvantages: Slightly more expensive than the average hand cream!

It has an absolutely lovely smell, very fresh, tangy and clean, but not a medicinal smell, almost like a very good perfume!
I suffer from extremely dry skin in the cold weather, so much so that the skin between my fingers is prone to cracking, not a good look!
This cream is very easily absorbed, perhaps due to the dry nature of my hands at this time of year.
It certainly leaves my hands feeling very soft and moisturised and what I like about it is the lack of stickiness after applying it. So many handcreams I have used, leave a lot of grease residue which means that you can't hold anything for 10 minutes after application for fear of it slipping out of your hands!
It also doesn't stain due to it's non-oily formula so you don't get any grease marks on your clothes.
