I picked up a brochure for Marks & Spencers Life Assurance cover in one of their clothing stores. I was impressed with what they had to offer, I think it was £6 a month for £100,000 life cover, so I filled out a "no obligation" form for some more information and sent it off. I received the information a few days later and took my time reading through it, in the meantime I was plagued by phone calls from M & S trying to sell me the policy, I was getting calls every night, in the end I had to be quite rude and tell them to stop phoning. I think If these people had left me alone to get on with it, I would probably have taken the cover, but I felt I was heavily pressured into taking the policy.
Always on the look out for a bargain, the last thing I expected to find was Life Assurance in an M&S store!
M&S do very competively priced life insurance. I found this out by accident when I was waiting for my partner (she was trying on the complete summer range of something or other). Sitting, reading through the easy to understand documentation, I thought I would get a quote. The premium was as good if not better than the nationally recognised ...

Ok so you normally buy your undies at M&S and what would they know about life insurance well think again! M&S actually do very reasonably priced life insurance. I found this out quite by accident when I was going to take a mortgage out and thought the banks policy was a bit steep! it was really simple to get a quote and totally hassle free in actually taking out the policy with them. It saved me money - alot in the long term I would definetly recommend ...

Advantages: Cheap, friendly staff Disadvantages: None at the moment
I first came across M&S Life Insurance on a cash back website and was pleasantly surprised with the quotation I received on line. As well as getting a good price, I got £25.00 M&S vouchers just for joining.
The M&S financial products are actually entirely owned by HSBC which gave me extra confidence when buying because I knew they were here to stay and had the support of a stable large multi-national bank.
