    Advantages Advantages Market Gallery for Arts & Crafts, Savers for toiletries, nice layout

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Not enough shops and not ones that I would like to visit

    History The Marlands Shopping Centre was opened on 5 September 1991 and was once the main shopping centre in Southampton until the WestQuay shopping centre was opened in 2000 (Review to come on this soon). Since WestQuay opened it has become a lot less busy than it once was with a lot of shops closing so there is no longer any really popular shop names but I will go through this later in the review. Layout The Marlands Shopping Centre is laid out across two levels. There is a main entrance which you enter on the High Street side so just down the road is WestQuay Shopping Centre.     Advantages Advantages Contains hairdressers Warm & Dry

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Crowded, not many shops

    Not alot to say bout this unexciting once dazzling shopping mall apart from it holds the Disney store which is the only decent shop in there. Unfortunatly this complex has got a bit run down since the opening of West Quay shopping centre in sep 2002, where all the shops moved from the Marlands into this bigger complex. Situated in the middle of Southampton city centre at the top end of the town (a longer walk from the main city square than the West Quay shopping mall which holds the better shops but its easier to park in) There is parking for around 1000 cars not that many but because of the ... more
