Advantages: Lovely taste, a great treat, great packaging Disadvantages: The straw comes apart, beware! Maybe a little expensive for some

The packaging was quite impressive, with the M&M's logo on the front, an image of a straw stuck into a milkshake and the words 'so thick you can stand your straw in it'...bit of a bizarre slogan I thought but ah well.
The cardboard cup had ... ...the fact that they're by Mars that they're really not healthy at all. I don't think that was the company's aim. Here's the ingredients as nutritional info....
Last night I went to visit a guy I've been seeing and his friends (a couple) came over. Before we sat down to watch a ton of films the guys realised they had no beer and did the standard walk to the shop while leaving us wenches to prepare the films. Upon their return we were handed a cardboard cup each and told 'We bought you both a present, on the one condition that you share it with us'. Fair enough I thought, chose the M&M's one as opposed to the Twix and went on to inspect this crazy package...

The 'package' was a 100ml Mars M&M's Super Thick Milkshake, chocolate flavour. It came with a little packet of mini chocolate M&M's (around 25 in the packet) and a straw with a spoon on the end. The packaging was quite impressive, with the M&M's logo on the front, an image of a straw stuck into a milkshake and the words 'so thick you can stand your straw in it'...bit of a bizarre slogan I thought but ah well. The cardboard cup had a gold foil lid to keep the product fresh, upon which the packet of M&M's sat. These were held in place with a clear plastic dome which fits neatly ontop of the cup which is also handy if you're on the go and minimizes spilling. The red and white stripey straw was glued to the side of the cup in the usual plastic straw packet.
"Give it a shake"
I started attacking the cup and trying to take the plastic lid off, only to be cleverly reminded that it would taste better if it was chilled. So we put them both in the fridge and started watching Indiana Jones. About an hour later when Indiana was hanging precariously off of a broken rope bridge being shot at by Ninjas, we remembered we'd left them in the fridge and scuttled over to get them out.
I gave it a good shake and opened the top. The lid came off quite easily and we put the M&M's to one side while I peeled back the gold foil lid to cries of 'oooh' and 'aaaah'. I had the gooey chocolatey lid immediately stolen from me but that didn't bother me as I had access to the rest of the pot! We tried to get the straw off the side of the pot but some of the paper from it ripped off too. Being the clever human that I am I thought the straw was one of the ones that you pull and it extends. To my dismay the straw popped and I was left with two miniature stumpy tubes which (no matter how hard I tried) couldn't be put back together. We opened the M&M's and poured them straight into the milkshake and laughed as they slowly sank into the rich creamy milkshake.
"Yummm"
"That is Le Sex" was my initial reaction when I slurped up a mouthful with my dwarf straw. The taste was lovely, very chocolately but not too rich. It was really thick and creamy, leaving you very satisfied but it didn't fill you up too much (bear in mind we shared one between two). The M&M's at the bottom were starting to lose the colour on their shells but were extra yummy as they were coated in the milkshake. Here's where the spoon on the end of the straw came in handy! Once we'd finished the contents we cleaned the pot with our fingers...maybe not so classy but it was too good to waste.
"Here's £2, go get me one"
The Super Thick Shakes are usually on sale for £1.49 but can go up to £1.99 each. As they're a relatively new product I'm sure you could find them on a buy one get one free offer or something similar. I'm not sure exactly where they're available (the boys got them from a corner shop) but I'm sure they'll be on sale in most large supermarkets now. At the moment these milkshakes are only available in M&M and Twix flavours. Lets hope they bring out more :)
"Fatty fat fat"
I'm sure you've realised just from the fact that they're by Mars that they're really not healthy at all. I don't think that was the company's aim. Here's the ingredients as nutritional info....

"They were gooooood"
I'd definitely buy one of these again. It completely satisfied my chocolate craving and was great for a fun treat. Great packaging, not too filling but very yummy. Apparently Mars decided to develop 'Dessert drinks' and I think it was a great idea.
Advantages: Not as sickly as you might think! Very tasty!!! Disadvantages: Could be a bit pricey, seems to be marketed as a drink, when its more of a treat.
when i first saw this product, i thought it was going to be sickly, but as i tried it out, not only was i greeted by a clever little straw that can be extended with a spoon on the end which impressed me, i was very suprised and very pleased, if your looking for something to quench your thirst, look elswhere, but if your looking for something sweet after a meal or to keep the kids happy, this is the product for you, the packaging states it is so thick ... ...yet this did not make it too much for my stomach to handle as the taste and texture together gave this product more of a dessert feel, rather than a drink/shake, yet i found it not to be too over powering in the sweetness department and is actually slightly creamy, i think they have got this product just right for a nice treat, however, it does feel to be marketed as a drink, and this product is deffinatly not that!
I also felt this product had ...
