An instant hot chocolate drink with “Maltesers honeycomb pieces” – what more can a malteser lover ask for? I saw this in Tesco a few weeks ago in a dinky little round jar, but didn’t buy it at the time as I spotted the “Marshmallow Toppers”. Then, whilst in Asda, I thought I would buy a sachet and give it a try, as I liked the sound of the honeycomb pieces. ...sachet pack that has a red background. At the top left hand corner there is a yellow triangle that has “New” written in red writing. Then you see the odd malteser dotted about on the background as if they were about to fall into the white cup of brown liquid. The word “Maltesers” is written above this, with “Instant” below it. ...to make me think of Mars Bars but not enough to make me think maltesers. I was however very disappointed to find that there were no little maltesers floating about on the top, as I am sure I had a sachet of this ages ago complete with little maltesers, I even checked the bottom of the jar incase they had all sunk. ...Here’s a question: would a nice free sachet of Galaxy Instant hot chocolate make the average Ciao’er happy? Or, ungrateful wretches that we are, we would want to get an opinion out of it too?! After a free sample landed on my doormat last week, it turns out I fall into that category… :o) *THE PRODUCT* Galaxy chocolate is made by the Mars Company, and along with this particular flavour, Maltesers Instant and Flyte hot chocolate drinks are also available. My sample came with a voucher for 30p off a 325g jar of Galaxy Instant, presumably available in all good supermarkets near you. The accompanying picture also shows sachets of all three varieties, so these would be your best bet to try the drinks.
