This amp is definitely not a bad bit of gear to have with you! It has great tones, The clean tone is stunning as with all the "JCM" series. It's very loud for a 50W head...
Unfortunately this is where the good things for me stop. Although it has a great range of tones, at higher volumes it gets pretty muddy. Now for some styles this really doesn't make much difference, say you're in a hard rock band, because your gain will never really go as high as mine. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not cranking the gain dial full, I have it at around 4-5 but even at that level it starts to lose clarity.Now this doesn't mean I don't like this amp... Far from it! It's a great sounding amp and I expect it will stay in my collection for years to come.
I would suggest going to try out this amp as for my style of playing/genre, It lacks the clarity and punch I love from a certain EVH inspired amp I've owned, For you it may be just what you've been looking for!

I know from experience that Marshall make some great gear and I have no doubt that this fits into the same category. It's obvious that your experienced with this amp and because of that I feel that you could say so much more about it so offering a personal opinion to a prospective buyer.Why not add to your review and I for one will happily rerate it.

Hi, I think from what you write here, you are an experienced performer, but is there more you could add to this review? As this is only your 2nd review it may take a little experience to know what to write, to help people make a purchase decision. maybe worth checking out some other high rated amp reviews to see what other members have wrote.
