I had one of these for a while and used it with a Jackson XS400 (or something like that). As a practice amp, you won't get much better. Just don't expect to play wembley stadium with it.... I really enjoyed owning and using the Marshall and its effects, it could also do with another input channel for when a mate comes round for a jam, you could really annoy the neibours.
All In all , I fully reccommend this product (or mostly anything by Marshall) as a high quality practice amp.
I remember when I first started playing electric guitar for the same price you'd get a nasty sounding 10W amp that hissed and spat at you if you tried to make it distort. This amp is a testament to just how far we've come - technologywise.
