Features: 2 watt speaker, Input socket, headphone socket, tone control, volume control, on/off/overdrive control, on/off indicator light, belt clip and a mains adapter socket.

This small amp is perfect for you if you like playing guitar well into the night since it has a headphone socket and it is also quite a quiet amp but it can also be a beast when you pump up the volume or, if you travel around a lot and you don’t want to lug around a bigger amp. It also makes a good first amp since it is relitvly cheap but for what you pay it is extremely good value for money.

The Marshall MS-2 is an amazingly practical device, it is 100% portable since it is powered by a 9V battery but if you don’t want to spend a lot of money on expensive batteries then it can also be powered by a 9V DC cable (which can be purchased for around £15).

There are three main controls on the MS-2: a volume control, a tone control (alters the bass and treble depending on which way you turn the knob) and a drive select/power switch-this knob can switch between clean and overdrive modes and it is also the on/off switch.

The only downsides to this amp are that the sound quality starts to deteriorate when the volume is turned up high and the distortion can also become quite fuzzy when it is turned up high. It also eats batteries so I would recommend that you purchase a mains adapter.

Overall I think that this amp is very practical and useful due to its size and portability-it even has a belt clip so that you can play and prance around at the same time!!! (Like on School Of Rock if you’ve seen it)

All in all I would recommend this product if you are looking for a convenient, cheap and practical amplifier (when I say cheap I mean it; I bought mine for under £25).

Hi, and welcome to Ciao. A lovely first review. I nearly gave it a VH. The thing is, I really think a bit more info would be helpful. For example, if someone were looking for their very first guitar amp, they may not know what kinds of pros and cons to look for. Giving comparisons of the different types of amps available for purchase and how this one slots in with price and performance would be a quite useful. Very nice start for a first review just the same. My first review actually got loads of NOT HELPFUL! So, you are at lease a step ahead. Read around for ideas! : - )
