I like Hingis she is a good player, more of a player with flair rather than power. She is trying to adapt her game so she can be up amongst the tops. She blows away the weaker opponents, but when it comes to the likes of the William sisters, Lyndsey Davenport or Mary Pearce, she struggles because she hasn’t got the power to compete. For a player who has already won so many grand slams, she hasn’t won a Grand slam tournament for two years, which is a very long barren spell for a player of her quality.
I think that Hingis does have a petulant side to her, she dislikes the Williams because they like winning, and in the French Open she’s had a lot of problems with both the crowd and her attitude. I know she may be frustrated because she hasn’t won for a long time, but she shouldn’t worry it’s only a matter of time.
I do feel sorry for her, she does have the potential to be champion but has many good opponents in front of her, I think it depends if she can get past the William sisters, but a definite certainty to reach the semi or even finals of every grand slam.
