I heard that they give Marvelon to women with endometriosis (which I haven't got) but I wanted to try it seeing as it had a pretty good reputation. However, it didn't work out for me. The main side effect that I had was the breakthrough bleeding - not even spotting, it was just like a full period which started around 7 to 10 days before the end of the pack and brought with it cramps and PMT. Quite heavy, and definitely shouldn't have been happening, especially after 4 months. I had nausea the occasional few days but nothing major. Also, after the breakthrough bleeding came the actual period (during the 7 day break) which was a bit of a drag as I was basically bleeding for 14 days out of the month and it didn't get any better. Would not recommend to somebody who wants light, short and reliable/regular bleeds. Also, I usually have pretty perfect skin and this made it MUCH worse. Had never EVER had a spot before, but at one point on Marvelon I had FIVE. Yuck!
