The Olsen twins are barely in adulthood, and they have it all; films, songs, clothes, books, makeup… and now they have curlers! It could be expected really, as those girls always have their hair in little angelic ‘rings’, and now they are offering it to their fans too!
~*~ Why these?
I asked for curlers for Christmas two years ago, but no specific model. I was quite pleased when I received the Mary-Kate and Ashley ones, all
wrapped up, looking pretty in its packaging! It came with nothing more than a simple instructions manual, and that was enough for me!
~*~The Looks
When it comes to appearance, the Olsens’ curlers have it all! A lot of curlers are a simple black colour to make them look sophisticated, but these appeal to the more fun-loving time of girl (or guy!) The hand base is a nice metallic baby blue shade, which has a slight mirrored tint to it. The buttons and clips are a deeper shade of a perfect purple, not too rich, but easy to see from the corner of you eye (which is always handy when trying to curl your hair without a mirror!) These curlers also have a cute little stand so you can rest them on a
surface when you arms begin to get sore and tired! The actual heated metal itself is a simple silvery metal colour, and is exceptionally shiny! Some curlers have plastic-coated heated plates, so it is more difficult to tell which part is metal and which you can touch, but luckily these are more suitable! The Olsens’ curlers are also very lightweight and slim! You literally feel like you are clutching a feather, it is amazing!~*~Are they good?
They may look special, but for the amount of money the Olsens are worth, you would have thought they would have spent a bit more money on the actual
curling part itself! I’m not certain how hot the
tongs go, but it is not that hot! I’ll brush my hair, section it, and
spray onheat protection spray (you can never be too careful!). Then I’ll wrap my hair around the tongs, clipping the end in at the bottom, and leave it there for a few seconds. After slowly releasing it, my hair is only ever so slightly wavy. I try again. No progress. These curlers are ok if you want a slight bounce to your hair, but they do not fit their purpose and give you cute little
curls!
~*~Would I Recommend?
I think I would recommend these to people who do not plan to use them a lot, to those who are new to curlers, or to those with hair which isn’t too thick! And also, these curlers aren’t that expensive either, I’m sure you can get them for around ten to fifteen pound!
superb..:)
