Advantages Advantages Excellent mutliplayer game - Very addictive !!

Disadvantages Disadvantages Let down slightly by solo game.

Back in the days when I had a Commodore Amiga, I wasted many hours playing a game called "Supercars 2" by Gremlin. The concept was simple - a two player, split-screen racing game (with weapons) with a view from overhead the cars. Simple graphics, but amazing gameplay. Moving on a few years, and to the release of Micro Machines on the Playstation 1. This was another "top-down" racing game, but rather than the split-screen, the aim was to keep up with the screen. If you car fell behind and went off the screen, you lost a life. Again, moving right up to 2004 now, and a new game arrives out of ... more

Advantages Advantages Excellent multi-player, great graphics, levels and weaponry

Disadvantages Disadvantages Too similar to Micro Machines

[Review can also be found on my website - www.ps2-central.co.uk] This game has to be the most intense and fun multi-player game ever on the PS2. This game is very similar to Micro Machines but with much better levels. Some of the levels are Angel Peak, Khangra Temple, Neustein, Timgidski, Ventura Boulevard, Keister Bay, Polar Wharf and many more which will need to be unlocked on the Challenge Cup mode. Challenge Cup mode allows you to compete on different levels for trophies under a selected race mode. It could be one on 3, all against all, shoot the gunship, beat the bomb or catch the ... more

Advantages Advantages fantastic fun, easy to pick up

Disadvantages Disadvantages one player side is rubbish, need cheats to make it really great

i read about this game in a magazine and it was rated one of the best multiplayer games around, so i decided to get, however when i got home and played it on my own i thought it was a poor game, there was no fun side of it i thought to myself. However that evening i had a few friends around and put mashed on. When i went on multiplayer it was a totally different game. The things you could do were race against friends blow them up this game is very similar to micro machines, it has simple tracks and small cars however it is much more fun. There are around 20 tracks playable, the first being a ... more

Advantages Advantages Variety of levels available, addictive multiplayer

Disadvantages Disadvantages Similarities to Micro Machines

Excellent game for multiplayer with up to five players at once, providing you have a multitap. Variety of different levels that can be unlocked by playing solo, levels also come with 2 variations that also have to be unlocked. Challenging solo missions with a variety of different challengers such as intercept the fugitve or Battle Game. Various multiplayer game types can also be unlocked, again through playing solo. I found that the game can become extremely addictive once you have got used to it. One time i was playing the game for hours upon hours with my mates. Has a hint of strategy with ... more

    Advantages Advantages Fun, competative

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Repetative

I got this game for my birthday. I liked it at first because of the offensive thinks the characters shout at each other and the variaty of cheat codes availiable so you can actually do something. I played all the time but some tracks are impossible. This game makes you quite sick. I cannot play for more than half an hour our I feel extremely sick. The camera twirls around above you and you feel like you're floating all over the place. In the end I traded this game in because only 3 tracks are playable as all the rest are slipper and dark. Buy it if you must, but I wouldn't if I was you; you ... more
