Mass Effect 2 - An excellent game

Advantages: Great graphics, good story line, good combat system
Disadvantages: Lengthy cut scenes and conversations

Mass Effect 2 is a big leap from the previous game. The game is visually beautiful, with a lot better graphics than most other games out there. You may import data from the previous game if you have a saved game. This takes all the information on what you did in the previous game, making it affect your character in this one. Although the game is visually stunning and the game-play is very good, I find myself eager to hurry up the lengthy conversations and cut scenes, so that I can get to the shooting parts. This may be just me, because I am an action game person, but the game requires a bit of patience to get into. I also noticed that if you haven't played the first Mass Effect the game may be hard to get the grasp of, as hardly anything is explained from the last game. Mass Effect is a science-fiction action and role-playing game. You assume the role of commander Shepard, the leader of an elite commando unit. Review of Mass Effect (Xbox 360)

Mass Effect, good but not great.

Advantages: Fantastic Storyline, believable world and even more believable characters.
Disadvantages: Requires a fairly good rig to play at a solid frame rate, console port

First and foremost, despite all the talk from BioWare, from minute one of the game is clearly a console port. This is most notable in the camera swing that follows the player somewhat haphazardly. And one doesn't even have the option of escaping this by going to a first-person mode (even though the game was promoted as having one up until a few weeks before it was released.) Now that's out of the way, we can talk about the game itself, the story is fantastic and there's a real sense of invovement in the story, although in my opinion it's not as good as the storyline in KOTOR. I'm not going to ramble on about the story because I don't want to spoil it for you, so instead i'll move swiftly on to the sound effects, which sound amazing (Other than the weaponary, which is a bit of a shame).
