LAY YOUR HANDS ON ME ...
Review of The Body Shop Shanthi Massage Gel by Tickly

Advantages: Non runny consistency and smells gorgeous
Disadvantages: Quite expensive

...equally as nice to return the gesture. Picture the scene if you will ... lights dimmed, music playing low - there you both are in front of the (gas) fire with the candles dancing and flickering seductively ... sounding good isn't it? So there we were, in the Metrocentre, about to head home after a lengthy shopping session when I realised I still had no massage oil -which was one of the reasonos why I found myself here in the first place. I suffer ...
...range, but I didn't fancy the look of it. To me it looked runny, like the one we had previously used which had been gloopy and a bugger for running off before you could put the bottle down - it had been Soya oil from the Bodyshop. It looked like something I might put in the car ... By this time, the shopping centre was near to closing and we headed towards the Bodyshop - feeling defeated in our mission. I asked the assistant if they had an alternative ... Read review

what a treat
Review of The Body Shop Massage Oil by tonythorpe

Advantages: very relaxing
Disadvantages: none

...MASSAGE OIL IS PART OF THE AROMATHERAPY RANGE. THIS IS A RELAXING OIL AND IS GREAT AFTER A HARDS DAYS WORK. IT RELAXES BOTH THE BODY AND THE MIND AND YOU CERTANINLY FEEL LIKE DOING ANYTHING AFTERWARDS. IT HAS A TRANQUIL BLEND OF SOOTHING OILS SUCH AS LAVENDER, YLANG YLANG, BAY, SANDLEWOOD AND FRANKINSCENCE. ONLY A LITTLE AMOUNT IS NEEDED AND YOU CAN EITHER USE AS MASSAGE OIL OR RUN IT UNDER THE BATH.. IT IS QUITE EXPENSIVE BUT WELL WORTH. A GREAT ... Read review

Not a stetch mark in sight.
Review of Boots Mediterranean Massage Butter by vickigroth

Advantages: Smells lovely, not expensive, works!
Disadvantages: none

I bought this from Boots after receiving a voucher for a half price tub. I was about 12 weeks pregnant at the time and had read a review of this in Mother and Baby. I was anxious not to get stretch marks. The body butter is thick and creamy but it rubs in well leaving a lovely orange smell. Its not too oily so I was able to get dressed straight after using it. I used it every day, initially just in the morning but then in the last couple of months ...
...when the get pregnant as its such a bargain price and a fantastic product. Forget all these expensive stretch mark creams, for £5 (and often on half price with boots advantage card vouchers) you can smell lovely and avoid stretch marks. A must for any pregnant mum to be. ... Read review

The smoother, softer way to stretch
Review of Boots Mediterranean Massage Butter by dancingfishes

Advantages: Smells amazing, skin is wonderfully smooth and seems to keep those nasty stretch marks away
Disadvantages: You'll need more than one tub to get you through the average pregnancy

Being 26 weeks pregnant with twins and with a body expanding at an alarming rate, I reckon I'm not a bad guinea pig for any product that claims that it might help prevent stretch marks. I started slapping this yummy stuff all over my actively growing body parts every day from about 15 weeks pregnant. I know I've still got a long way to go but so far there's not a mark in site and I'm about as big as a mum-to-be who's 8 months pregnant with a single ...
...picked up my first tub of this after receiving a promotional voucher for a product in Boots' Mediterranean pregnancy range when I joined the Mother and Baby club. After scanning what was available to me in this range in my local store I settled on this because primarily I was keen to keep the skin on my bump as supple as possible and with ingredients included olive oil, shea butter, apricot oil and avocado oil, I figured this might do the trick. ... You Give Me Fever Anytime
Review of Lush Fever Massage Bar by eandemam

Advantages: Easy to use
Disadvantages: Hubby wants a nightly massage now!

...I am a big Lush fan, and am easily tempted to part with large amounts of cash just by entering the shop. I used to have to travel into the centre of Newcastle to fulfil my Lush needs, but that has been sorted as they have now opened a branch in Gateshead's Metrocentre which means I can frequent their premises even more than before. Good for Lush, not so good for my purse, especially as my 8 year old daughter is also a convert. In the past I have ...
...the place to go was Lush to get something different, and this latest trip was met with a positive reaction from the husband…maybe because he thought he would be on the receiving end of something pleasureable! When I entered the store, there was a central display of quite a few massage bars, and as usual the smell was amazing. I began talking to one of the girls working in the shop, and as I was a massage bar virgin, she explained that for the most ... Read review
