Keep fit as a merchandiser

Advantages: Good fun, I'm earning a bit of money, job satisfaction.
Disadvantages: Too much work in too little time sometimes

said that the work would suit a retired person or someone needing to work around child care timetables. It sounded like a possibility for me so I asked Helen what exactly a merchandiser did! Basically the task is to go into a store such as Safeways and restock the CDs etc and rearrange them into the correct chart positions (more about this later). I thought ‘I can do that’ so I applied for the job and let them know which towns I could get to, as I don’t drive. The actual stock held in the supermarkets belongs to the firm who provides it e.g. Electronics Boutique, and it is they who pay MEM to organise the merchandisers to keep the stock tidy, in the correct chart order and at the correct level. A world of fashion at your fingertips

Advantages: -
Disadvantages: -

I have big boobs, a big bum, and a big belly - which can make shopping for clothes on the high street a little difficult , not just because of the low availability of plus sized clothes in some stores, but also the indignity of waddling out of a changing room in too-tight jeans to ask for a larger size . The company are part of the J D Williams group, a large range of online/home shopping companies - and once you have an account with one, you can use that account to order from any of their websites - something I found pretty useful - more on that later . The site is fairly simple and uncluttered - The sites logo in a nice got pink colour in ...

Essential Manager's Manual. It's essential

Advantages: Very comprehensive
Disadvantages: Might be better in binder format ,not hardback

The Essential Managers Manual really is essential. It is written by Robert Heller and Tim Hindle (edited by David Tombesi-Walton) and published by DK. The vital information in the book is broken down into logical sections and the information is presented coherently and understandably. The introduction sets the tone for the whole book. "In today's fast-moving business word," it warns, "organisations are constantly evolving, and the role of the manager is becoming ever more diverse." That's very true. And some managers sink under the rapidly rising waters of change. This book can be described either as a lifeboat or at the very least a floatation device for those struggling to keep their head above the murky waters and uncharted depths of "corporate change." The book is over 860 pages long and is designed as a comprehensive ...
