Advantages: Concise and accurate. Covers all aspects of Windows 2000 Server. Disadvantages: A very heavy book, not one for the bus!
on TCP/IP as you will probably be familiar with this but for those who are not this provides a rounded introduction. MarkMinasi even covers many of the obscure but useful features such as the ability to use Remote Installation Serer (RIS) to role out Windows 2000 Professional and Server over a network; this proves invaluable when there are large quantities of PC’s in your organization.
This book covers all aspects of Windowsnetworking in some depths (not just for Server but for enterprise networks in general). In addition to explaining how to automate backup processes it also explains how to successfully recover in worst-case scenarios. Unlike several other books covering Windows 2000 Server there are also further sections covering Internet Information Server (IIS).
This book is huge, it’s like a bible at 1830 pages ...
Advantages: Succinct, comprehensive, informative Disadvantages: It's worth the money, but maybe slightly on the expensive side.
~~~~~~Why did I need this book?~~~~~~
I started my Masters dissertation last summer and had to have it completed by the end of September. My department was not particularly helpful with regard a lot of things on my course (too long a story). Suffice to say, several of us students received conflicting and confusing information about our dissertation work. Ultimately, no one felt confident with what they were doing.
By the time I discovered this book (shelving at work, no less), I had already done much of my research and was actually beginning to write the chapters. I essentially knew what I wanted to achieve - had some vague idea of structure and content - and was progressing with it. However, I lacked confidence in my approach and worried over certain areas of my work; this was certainly reflected in my writing at times. There were ...
Advantages: Very deep lyrics Disadvantages: Last album with Cliff Burton
The album Master of Puppets is the third studio album by America?s highest selling Metal band. It was released March 3rd 1986 and has since sold over 6 million copies in the USA alone. It is also the last album to be recorded with bassist Cliff Burton before a fatal bus accident while touring for the album.
The album is considered one of the greatest thrash metal albums of all time and is considered a classic by critics and the band alike. The songs mainly focus on losing control and the intensity of the riffs really shows this.
