I purchased this machine about 3 weeks ago from Currys and had a few "setting up" problems with it. When on a slow spin it was making a horrendous racket, sounding like the drum was going to explode through the top of the machine! So, I called Currys and told them the problem; they said it wasnt normal so to go back to the store and exchange it for another one. So, we did that and the second machine was exactly the same. We worked out the the noise was coming from the drum; it was if it was banging hard against something at the back of the machine. So, I called Curry's again and they couldnt understand why this was. Anyway, I did a bit of research on the internet and discovered that someone else had the same problem. On the user manual it tells you to remove the transportation screws on the outside but not the plastic screw covers that are actually on the inside of the machine! I might add these are hard to get to so it isnt exactly obvious. I am also very suprised that Curry's havent had complaints about this before and didnt know that it was this which was causing the problem. So, if you get one of these, make sure you remove the plastic screw covers on the inside of the machine!
Besides that, the machine has been very good. It is quiet, spins very well (up to 1400 spin) and has a good variety of programmes with extra features such as rinse hold and easy iron. The only issue is that a main wash without pre-wash takes at least 2-2.5 hours and a quick wash seems to only take 20 minutes. They would have done better with a quick wash being somewhere halfway from a full wash and a full wash not taking as long. I have not tried it with a pre-wash yet as I can only imagine it would take at least 3 hours! The other disadvantage is that it doesnt take a very big load (it says 5kg) so not really ideal for a family of 3 or more people. It is quite compact so is ideal if you are short of kitchen space.
I would recommend this machine but only for a single person or couple due to the small load capacity.
